For todays Adventure I made my way out to the Phoenix Sonoran Preserve. I mapped a 6 mile route to include hawks nest Trail and Dixie Mountain Loop.
I wasn't quite sure what to expect from this trail system as this would be my first time mountain biking here and there are just a few videos showing the riding in this area.
I was weary of heavy hiker weekend traffic as well as trail encroaching cactus and dry loose dirt. While those were reasonable concerns, I quickly adapted to the conditions out here in the Sonoran Desert and had an amazing ride. I found challenging climbs as well as fast fun, sometimes technical descents. The blooming spring desert flowers and stunning views were an added bonus
Overall, I had a great time riding these trails and I would encourage you to come out and see this place for yourself!
Feel free to stick around and subscribe so you don't miss out on the next adventure!
Thanks for watching!
