@@DaleCalderCampobello I didn’t wait till the end to comment..if you slice tomatoes to grow new plants that are commercially produced you likely won’t get the same tomatoes. 9 times out of ten they’re hybrids..(I learned that lesson when we grew citrus seeds when I was young..made a tree for several years, it was a hideously thorny rootstock that wouldn’t fruit!) my favorite cherry is Sunsugar, best flavor and sugar content! ! Another beautiful slicer is Lucid Gem from Baker Creek, and you can’t go wrong w any dark shouldered varieties like Cherokee Purple, Paul Robeson, Vorlon etc etc. I’m trying to start some seeds my neighbor brought from Lebanon, but they weren’t in very good condition. Try growing green or golden purslane, it’s high in omega 3, plus awesome in toasted pita bread salad (fattoush) I can give you a terrific recipe for that, simple, delicious salad..

Looking forward to the update. My wife and I are just starting up our first pre-gardening efforts here in Johnson, Vermont. We're about on the same parallel as you (slightly south) so it is good to have you as a reference. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge and experience.

@@DaleCalderCampobello haha! Probably is a weed. But who knows! It could be a radish or something... lol

The leaves are sort of hairy or spiny like squash or cucumber but there weren't and seeds that large in the packets.
Enjoy your videos. My garden here in Daytona, FL area is not doing well. Have no pollinators around and my attempts at hand pollinating tomato and pepper sets showing little result. 11th gen Mainer.

Sorry to hear that. In the greenhouse I just gently shake the plants every time I'm in there that seems to work.

I did something similar-just squirted the seed clump from the grape tomatoes into some soil into an egg carton…?😊
