Persuasion is so fall/autumn-coded to me because it's a little melancholic and reflective (especially when considering it was Austen's last completed novel before her death), and Anne Elliot is such a quiet and introspective heroine when compared to all of other Austen's heroines. For spring, I think of the playfulness of Emma. That being said....Persuasion is my second favorite Austen novel, so yessss girl please 👏read 👏it! And I so, so hope you love it! Also....you sold me on "this reminds me of the Good Place" lol I'm adding the book to my TBR on that comparison alone :)

Anne of Green Gables is soooo good and spring is a good time to read it. I liked the Netflix show but it didn’t follow the story exactly.

anne of green gables is my favourite classic ever! it can definitely work for any season because it spans a lot of time! i only watched the first season of anne with an e, and a bit of the second season, and i honestly really didn't like it in comparison to the book. i much prefer the movies from 1985 with megan follows and jonathon crombie!
