Love how you constantly show us how you style existing pieces in your closet instead of only featuring new additions. It's super helpful!

Thank you so much Anika :) I do share some more premium items on my channel and want to make sure I get the wear from it and promote quality over quantity. It's also far more realistic to repeat/rewear. I'm so happy you find this more useful as I do often worry it's getting way to repetitive :)

Definitely a very well loved item in my wardrobe :)

@@DailyHelenJ Not at all! I personally love your ethos when it comes to fashion. It's not realistic or sustainable to constantly promote new closet additions, but on the flip side the extreme of minimalism where everything consists of the same 3 pieces also removes the fun from fashion and I love how you marry the two. Your closet always seems interesting while reusing a select few pieces and I appreciate all the thought you put in to constantly create new looks. Can't wait to see you grow!

Agree with you on uniqlo tshirts. They're inexpensive, yet so so durable and even after many washes tend to hold their shape. A great basic for spring/summer.

I absolutely love your outfit! You are so right about the vision we have of ourselves in certain pieces of clothing. If we like ourselves we have confidence. We know what looks good on us and so we can take on any occasion knowing that it really isn't the outfit, it is us. Confidence on the inside makes confidence on the outside. If we are overweight, it's hard to see ourselves looking good in anything. But knowing and playing to our strong good features and wearing colors that make us shine can make someone with a few extra pounds feel good. You do the best you can with what you have.
@DailyHelenJ3 жыл бұрын
I 100% agree. At the end of the day, as long as we feel good and confident in the clothes we wear, it's really all that matters. Thank you for watching xx

I love linen, I try to get more linen basics every Spring/Summer, and H&M and Amazon have great ones for my budget. I also live in a very hot summer climate; on the bad days around 40C, linen is all I can wear. Linen knits are great, too, slightly warmer than woven linen, but much cooler than cotton-knit t-shirts.

100% true. We share the same love for Linen, especially in Australia where we often do have those high 30 or even 40 degree Celsius days!

I’m ready for styling my spring wardrobe after seeing your wonderful video. Lots of inspiration and ideas on how to combine items. I love the idea of having classic pieces and styling them with something contrasting. The idea of a feminine white blouse ❤️and Sézane is my favourite - paired with khaki trousers is perfection.

I loved so many of the pieces you shared & also the way you styled them :) Awesome capsule! I clicked on the link you shared for the slip dress to purchase but XS in black was sold out :( When I navigated to the dresses section of the site however, there was also a slip dress there. It looks almost identical to the one you linked but only cost about $14 more & had more available sizes. Just wondering if you know the difference by any chance..?

The more affordable option is the older style. I now have one of each so can share my thoughts. The newer style is more flattering imo. It has a higher neckline (less wide as well) and I find this so much easier to wear as I don't have to think about what to wear underneath as much. The older style has a wider neckline so it can sometimes move around and be a bit frustrating. Just checked and I think it might be back in stock now :)

@@DailyHelenJ thanks for sharing your thoughts on both options, it’s very helpful. I’m going ahead with the newer version! 🙏🤗

I was wondering if the tan blazer from Sezane has shoulder pads? I tried to check the details list on Sezane but nothing was mentioned ☹️

Hi Anny, it has shoulder pads. It is quite a light padding so not too much or too structured. Hope this helps x

I find the uniqlo U tees look a bit odd and wrinkly when tucked 😫
@DailyHelenJ3 жыл бұрын
I think it completely depends on preference & style, thicker t-shirts usually don't tuck like the thinner options, but they are more durable. So it's a give and take situation :)

Women who need a size larger than a US size 8 or Small can’t wear anything from Sezane. I’m a US 12, or Medium, so that brand’s out for me. That’s why I won’t even buy accessories from them, I don’t want to reward them for their size-exclusivity and snobbish elitism. The average American woman is size 16, so they are missing out on the world’s largest apparel market, American women’s clothing. It’s their loss, many other brands do have sizes for average to larger women.
@DailyHelenJ3 жыл бұрын
It definitely is a shame and something I hope they consider for their future collections. However, I've noticed that they are doing a XXS and a XXXL in some of their popular pieces such as the Gaspard knit so I do think they are taking steps to be more accommodating. As someone who is on the petite side, I often find Australian brands (that I find locally) to run way too large for me (height/width), and it is nice for Sezane to fit me on the other end of the spectrum without too much tailoring.
@rebeccamcelroy10003 жыл бұрын
Hey, I'm roughly the same size as you I think (wear a UK size 14-16 which I think translates to US 10-12) and usually wear a Large in US brands like Everlane. I find Sezane EU size 42-44 depending on the piece fits me great. I think they go up to a UK 18 right now which I think is a US 16. Not that you'd necessarily want to try them even if it does fit, just thought I'd give you a heads up about what's worked for me! 😊
