Probably my all time favorite hand gun for defensive purposes.

Love that FDE look with threaded barrel. Perfect distance to practice for self defense with a pistol.

The beauty of self-defense is it is rarely even close to the far distance of 7 yd. Generally, it is much more close and personal.. Close range point and shoot, and reliability are King.

I agree 100%. And I’ve got a video planned where I show accuracy with a pistol I train with that has no sights. If you can rapid fire at a man shaped target at 7yards and hit it dead center every time then close, self defense distances are covered.

My first gun 14 years ago was an XD9. Still works perfectly.

I have an XD40 which is a compact. About the same size as a Glock 19 and I love it.kzbin.info/www/bejne/oZ2mg3iZr7qMqJI

@@jwash3rd How many rounds does it hold in a flush mag? And are there extensions?
@jwash3rd2 жыл бұрын
@@MaxHeadspace9mm The original mags held 15, I've got a couple of Mec Gars that hold 17. the .45 holds 13.

@@jwash3rd I may need to save up for one of those. I love high capacity and that would make it one of the highest possible capacity 45’s available. I have a FNX 45 Tactical which has 15 rounds in a standard mag and I found 20 rounders for it.

Croatian XD... Springfield slaps their name on it and then charges a premium for false advertising. I haven't forgotten Springfield's treachery, and I wanted so badly to buy a Hellion, but I'll never give Springfield a dime of my money. Maybe one day I can find a used one for sale and then I might consider buying one.

The one I used in this video is a demonstrator model that I bought for $299. And I know there are lots of people who are mad at Springfield for their choices. But man it’s a capable pistol….
@Watchdog_McCoy_5.7x282 жыл бұрын
@@MaxHeadspace9mmI never claimed the gun wasn't capable. I merely stated why I wouldn't purchase one, regardless of it's capabilities. It's past time for people to put their money where their mouth is, and stop supporting companies that are antithetical to what America is supposed to stand for. Sorry, but I will never recommend anyone buy anything from Springfield, and they aren't the only supposed 2a companies that are just a scummy, Troy Industries, Geissele, Hornady, X-Products, etc, are some others just to name a few. Why tf would any supposed 2a loving American ever promote anything from these companies is beyond my comprehension, but you do you, and I'll just refuse to watch, like I just did. I typically enjoy your content, so don't take it as a personal attack, but that being said, I will not compromise my standards to support anybody. Thanks, and have a great day.

@Hold the Line Patriots This is actually the kind of comment and conversation that makes me keep coming back to youtube (which btw- is the greatest offender when it comes to trampling our rights). I hear ya. And I feel what you are feeling. And I support your freedom to not watch and go anywhere you like for products and content. However, before you label me as a turncoat please let me explain my journey because I’ve been of the exact same opinion you are expressing. And in order to get tax stamps and enjoy some of the worlds greatest firearms I had to dig deep into this more and find truth I could understand and live with. What I discovered is that it’s all a huge game and public perception scam. Some companies claim patriotism and market themselves that way and also btw- some politicians who claim to stand up for our rights are just actors playing a part. Truth is, what I have found is that it’s all a game to distract, disorient and invoke fear so we buy way more stuff and pay way more of our hard earned money than we should to our favorite “cause” and where there is a cause there will be a champion protecting it. The “conservative” republicans vs. the “progressive” democrats. The obedient vaxxers vs. the anti science unvaccinated. The anti gunners vs. the 2A crowd. And on and on and on. Pick your cause and pay your money. So I view all this with a sense of humor because if you really want to stand for the 2A you better add Glock, Sig, Colt, HK, Taurus, Norinco, Century Arms, Trigicon, Eotec, etc, etc to your list. Truth is any company that makes any thing is in bed with the devil and that’s how they get the product to you. If you really knew the hoops they had to go through to get you your products you would definitely find fault with them for some reason wether it be outsourcing or providing technology and secrets to our enemies or something. It’s called capitalism and I still think it’s better than socialism but believe me it ain’t perfect. And believe me I and my whole family are unvaccinated. I used to have a bunch of videos on that subject but KZbin took them down. What remains is only part of what they will allow. So by watching KZbin at all you are supporting one of the most evil companies on planet earth. No offense but please don’t label me as unpatriotic or think I am promoting unpatriotic ideas or products.

@@MaxHeadspace9mm Spot on Max. The second you try to point out another persons purity you become a hypocrite.....just facts. I dont put my faith and trust in anyone except God. Everyone has a price except Him and He paid ours instead. We need to stand strong together and fight for our 2nd Amendment rights and not split up our ranks like the enemy would love to see happen.

@@MrBrad777c Thanks for the encouragement Brad. I love the discussions but I fear that many in the gun community are so divided we are easy prey for those who seek to divide and conquer us🤔
