Cannot understand why you removed brand new phenolic plywood that was giving you sound deadening an insulation air gap and a good medium for fixing to. Regards AJ

Good points, Alan. For a cargo van, I think it'd be hard to come up with a better floor than the factory floor from Mercedes. But, for a specialized van like this one, we wanted more insulation and sound deadening. Also, the new subfloor will be far sturdier than the cargo floor. I'd love to get your opinion after you see Part 2. Thanks for watching and for your comments :)

I used it to make drawers for my shop. So incredibly strong! For the second sprinter I built I left the factory floor right where it was. It's the strongest plywood I ever saw!
