Thanks for the great info. Dearest Morag, would you consider doing a video which shows us your work space, desk, video area thingy or whatever one could call it. How do you get info to us??? I'm dying to see your process, your assistants if you have any. Any insight into how you manage to live with nature and create information for the good of the rest of us. I'll stop now.

We usually do this at home too! Mostly with lentils and chickpeas. I love picking some of them raw here and there, although we mostly use them in our veggie stir fries. We also stir fry them with some spices (turmeric, curry, Jamaica pepper, nutmeg...) and add them to our salads for some extra protein content! I will soon be doing the chia sprouts you showed us a couple of days ago too!!! 😀 I love watching these videos!!! ❤️🌍🌱

do you not tip the jar to let all the water come out to prevent mould starting>? no mesh lids?

Hi Morag. Thanks heaps for this. I couldn't quite tell from your description whether after soaking the legumes overnight, after you wash them each time, are you just leaving them strained but wet, or covering them with water once more? By the way, only just discovered your channel, and I'm absolutely loving it. Thanks for sharing your wealth of knowledge!

Just rinse and drain them after the initial soak. Keep them damp and ensure they have air flow.

Thank you. I started sprouting some seed mix last week that I bought off of the internet. I didn't think about using lentils!! I used to do this with mung beans but stopped because I didn't like the seed husks. I can see that if I used it in a vegeburger that wouldn't be an issue, but do you "clean" your lentils of the husks before eating raw?

No, I just eat it all mixed in with a yummy salad. Extra fibre too.

I don’t, their skins are extra fibre with presumably different vitamins and mineral and they are pretty soft

Do you cover the jar while you are waiting for them to sprout?

Not necessary... I rinse them off in a huge sive ... deliciously nutritious... energy giving

Sprout your lentils then plant them in a pot with potting mix to grow more of them.
