The timing on this upload is uncanny. I feel like I needed to hear this today.

I’ve only recently started listening to bother Spurgeon and he delivers the Truth in a very effective way - I’ll 100% be listening to each and every sermon of his I can get a hold of - thanks very much to the owners of this channel, you are doing a great and wonderful work through our Redeemer, Jesus Christ, may all who hear this also do this and be a light in this world for this world

Wow! Is this convicting me! Was this written mid 19th century or 2024???? I really need to clean up my act. By the grace of God and the power of the Holy Spirit it shall be done. Amen...

Bless you Catherine, there's many who DON'T get it. It's URGENTLY "clean-up-your-act" time, (and has been for some years); I struggle with it too. Another bible teacher who seems like he's reading today's headlines is Derek Prince (D.P Ministries Australia is a well-presented website). You may already access his material; but if not, you will be pleased with what you discover. "The Day" is coming at us like an express train going down hill. Be "wise as serpents, but innocent as doves" because "the days are evil". (And make time for a cup of tea).

That sounds wonderful. But personally, I prefer reading Spurgeon's Sermons separately from my Bible. Even side by side, but I'm hesitant to put them both in my Bible. Just sayin.. Even so, I highly recommend Spurgeon's Sermons! I am blessed to have the whole set in hardcover.. We desperately need "the old paths" today..

Matthew 7:21-23 21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. 22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

That alone should scare the devil out of anyone! But there is that peace of God, which passeth all understanding, that will keep our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Amen!

I believe you mean empathy. Apathy is having no care or regard for anything. ❤️
@MrWookie21Ай бұрын
@@capt.butters9296I guess empathy is again somekind of substractive substitute for love or compassion. Since love and knowledge are the two main capabilities of the human soul ; sensitively and spiritually.
@MrWookie21Ай бұрын
@@capt.butters9296 I checked, empathy is a modern word meaning the ability to identify oneself with others, to experience what others do. In other words it's being obsequious, an hypocrite, a mime, an imitator, a chameleon,... 😅

Spurgeon wasn't even saved, idk why people listen to these religious people.
@victorloshy20162 ай бұрын
Who are yee to judge?? The Word of God teaches, “ You shall know them by their fruits”… and Spurgeon bears the good fruits through his words ( Love for Holiness, Seek and Dependant in Christ the Lord, teaching on fleeing the wide road of the fleshly world )…. Such is a True preacher for you shall know them …. I Deeply understand @Darikstone you know not the Truth for if you knew the mystery of God’s Goodliness you will differentiate disciples of Christ vs the enemies of the Cross of Christ! We were once Lost too brother and i Deeply Pray unto God that He may Gracefully Open your Eyes from the Blindness of the fleshly sins that prevents us from Seeking His Truth!
@DarikStone2 ай бұрын
@@victorloshy2016 Spurgeon was a heretic, and fruit of the Spirit aren't things people say or do, but what they believe, and he did not believe, and it's evidently taught in his theology. Spurgeon is infact in hell. Because he did not bear fruit at all. He's nothing more than a reformationalist.

Yes, he was saved!
@DarikStone2 ай бұрын
@@cookiemama4 He was most definitely not saved. He was a religious fanatic. He was absolutely consumed, in puritan theology, which gave way to him being raised arminian, and converted that theology later to 5 point calvinism, though he was also fundamental Baptist, [reformational, lordshipper] like JOHN MACARTHUR, And PAUL WASHER, and VODDIE BAUCHAM. He believed that anybody that believed they were forgiven of their sins, dead to their sins, saved by Grace through faith, were delusional, and on their way to hell. [In other words] he didn't believe in being forgiven by belief on Jesus and being set free from sin and given eternal life. Basically didn't believe anything Paul taught. He didn't study eschatology because it's no wonder [he didn't understand salvation at all]. God was at the bottom of his theological understanding, not the top, evidently and obviously. Everything in the world was wrong with his theology; covenentally, salvifically, christologically, eschatologically, Millennially, doctrinally, he was also a preterist; he was the mess of messes, and he's in hell right now for being nothing more than a religious zealot, believing what he did, and teaching it to millions. Judgment day will be bad for him. His heart was not for God, it was for the romance of religion. Or else he would have been teaching grace through faith.
