I’ve known Trainlover for over 2 years and have seen him get into the Spyro Franchise more and more throughout all this time and all the fans he’s made over the years he’s helped and introduced them to the trilogy and for while I knew about the franchise around the same time as him he’s taught me and all his subscribers how much of a big gaming franchise it is to him and how he really wants Spyro 4 to be upon us soon so I’m really grateful for you having him in this video and I hope there’s many more things to enjoy and talk about with him about Spyro in the future

It's derivative. A lot of writing has similar forms. The hero's journey to beat the big bad. The characters develop over time to improve themselves and face troubles that affect who they are to overcome. But there are more than that example.

I sorta get what Trainlover is talking about with a Spy Spyro4 with Malefor being like a James Bond villain but...shouldn't it be Red in that role instead? He was the one with the evil lair and the robots so if anything he's the one who'd be going all Dr.Cortex in Spyro4 if that concept flys. (I'm not opposed to it. Agent 9 is self-explanatory and Sgt. Byrd is already based off James Bond having his own lady friend ala that Fairy!) Honest when people talk about Legend of Spyro being 'too dark' or disliking Dark Spyro as a Concept I think we keep forgetting how actually kinda dark the pre-legend games were. Besides OG Twilight Harbor going full Die-Hard on Spyro when you stop to think of it Spyro himself was a sorta anti-hero figure. I did like how Train-lover compared Spyro to Tomas the Tank Engine cause I personally have a weird comparison to Spyro towards a Fantasy story of the opposite target Demographic. I actually think Guts from Berserk is a little like Spyro, and not just Legend of version (He did go full Beast of Darkness during an Eclipse.) but the OG version. Spyro like Guts is all brash and reckless plus obsessed with getting pay-back against his arch-enemy 'Ghasty Gnorc' who he sees as turning his life upside down, and at times 'heh' he's actually more than a little ruthless in terms of taking down his enemy's. I mean look at Peace Keepers. He's burning down enemy tents to get at the guys who are cowering/mooning before him! He was also pretty reluctant to work with others since he started out wanting to do everything on his own the only thing helping him personally was his fairy aka bug side-kick who was healing/protecting him. Even more so if you look Guts's Group in the later arcs and Spyro's Group in Year of the Dragon (The Sorceress's evil plan basically sounds like a Berserk plot-line complete with transformed demon minions!) or Heroe's Tail that in itself is a pretty surprising comparison. Sure he doesn't have a Band of Hero's he used to hang out with but...for all attence purposes the Skylanders were his Band of the Hawk, and Cynder is practically Casca! Not to mention how often Surreal the Spyro games look in terms of enemy and level design comparing Susumu Hirasawa to Stewart Copeland tracks, if you minus the blood and gore Spyro and Berserk kinda blend together too well. I can imagine Spyro fans don't like too much since I like the darker bits in Spyro, and not only put up with Enter the Dragonfly & love Skylanders but the so-called 'fetish' movie script is something I saw potential in. Sure I wish it had more Cynder and there wasn't a diaper change scene, but like Skylanders Academy I would've been happy to see more animated Spyro content in general. Its like what Joyless said in his Spyro1 video. "The only Problem with Spyro is there isn't enough Spyro!"

True. And now you mention it, Red would be more fitting for a Bond villain type in Spyro 4.

@@trainlover16 Thank you for liking my post! I totally agree with you on Spyro Orange being the Worse one. While I don't that Crash Purple is that bad, I could never even force myself to beat Spyro Orange, cause not only was it badly designed that one button Mash mission made it nigh impossible for me to beat! I am glad to know that I'm not the only person that compares Spyro to weird things most wouldn't think so! I relate to the Spyro & Cynder Plus story's. I used to actually role-play as Spyro & Cynder like how Little Kuriboh and Team Four Star did their characters, having them, aside from play their games, they'd watch TV Shows and Movies, as well as do a lot of late night reading of books and Manga! Cynder and Spyro actually wound up becoming Berserk fans reading them ALA Library Rentals. My head cannon of Cynder had pretty morbid tastes, so while Spyro seemed adverse to the Horror genre he goes along with it cause 'well' Cynder's his girl and he can't say No! (Cynder apparently loves scary things according to her Skylanders Book.)

@@trainlover16 Heh, yeah. I had an interesting life story with Spyro! Another interesting bit about my Spyro/Cynder thing was Spyro wanted to so show her the HTTYD series but Cynder wasn't having any of it cause she had read the original books before hand 'like myself' so she went and made him read the books for her. They not only watched every DreamWorks HTTYD episode, they've come to the undeniable conclusion that books were basically better in every single way! They're super underrated just like the Skylanders book series. I used to like Trains myself. Me and my family often like playing train board games!
