Dessouky is such a beautiful player when he’s on form. Strength, finesse, speed, and agility.

Happy to watch Dessouky. There is something special about him. His athleticism at work is like watching a wildcat in his nature. Impressive effect. Ibrahim, in a lighter way, has a bit of that too.

His short game wasn't as sharp/sweet as it needs to be to today

Wow 42 seconds in and already brilliant squash. Totally predictable by these two, they are a perfect compliment to each other for exciting squash.

Coll is an amazing player. Cold calculated steady not rushing just keeps pushing the opponent shot by shot

Mazen Hesham is getting mentally tougher, he'll learn from that 5th game. You can tell he was disappointed in his shot selection there and that he knew better than to try that at such a crucial juncture of the game.

Totally agree, Hesham is definitely improving and maturing as a player

Haven't watched Gawad in a while so I was kind of shocked about his error rate. I remember him having an amazing killer instinct, so watching him not showing that at all especially during the first and fourth game felt really odd. Still an amazing match to watch between those two, great squash and very entertaining nonetheless.

Makin does tend to increase the pace and tempo beyond the rhythmic base that Gawad seems to prefer to play in. And that subtle drop in preparation time can unsettle gawad a bit?
@Francklyynnnn2 жыл бұрын
@@inqurious both very good points. I was just a bit surprised because Gawad normally adapts to his opponents really well and knows how to set the pace and hurt them.

Gawad unfortunately seems to be past his prime at this point. It's a shame, during the 2018-2019 years he was my favorite player to watch, I suppose people's longevity varies considerably

Can anyone explain the No Let at 6:20? Is it because of his positioning on the course?

12:35 should have been a let to Makin. Gawad hit then stepped into Makin's line... Not that it was consequential
