I get the impression you'll be ploughing in circles, just so you can see the silver on the front wheels. Looks really good, the Norden wheels on before were like having a space saver on your car. Well worth doing.

Kudos to you ole M looks like it just left the factory many years back can't say exactly for I'm not sure of yr mdl of yours just guessing I'd say 48 to 51 yr??:I've a question why weight s on up front tires ?? Plan on pulling something quite heavy out back I reckon??I always felt like it made my steering even more difficult to steer. On account of weight being on the tire "spindle "that's why I installed a "; what I call a flat plate weight rig " and put what desired weight I wanted or may or may not need !! Anywho super great job you do & obviously have done on your ole super M !! YOU SURLY DESERVE THE CREDIT &: THANX FOR SHARING YOUR KNOWLEDGE

I have and use the same bearing packer and love it. Packed them the old-fashioned way for many years, very messy. Tech tip: Keep it in a clean one gallon paint can to eliminate contamination when not in use. Nice looking Super M btw.

Squatch you make everything look so easy but I just put a new inner tube on a rear tire on my M not only was it 2 6 hour days but I would never post it on KZbin because I don’t need to show the world what a brain dead basket case I am just to give you an example it took me 1 hour to make sure I was putting the tire on the rim the right way so the lugs ran the right way 😂😂 But that tractor is beautiful and so is your 1948 8N Ford you were grading with the other day and they both run and sound so nice Carry on 😀🇨🇦

I got a bunch of trays , some used from a school kitchen, some new from a restaurant supply store. Some are aluminum, some plastic or fiberglass on the older ones. I use them for things like working on stuff like the hub change to keep things clean. I usually end up using two, one for parts , one for tools. I started using them while working in the pits on a funny car team and think they are a big help that you may consider. Nice tractor!

Longtime viewer here. It always bothered me that the Super M's front rims were different from its rears and the rebuild series explained why with it being an aftermarket front axle, and the rationale for one-piece steel rims when it had the loader bucket. Still I was always thinking it would look so, so better if a way could be found to fit a pair of the factory-style wheels on it. So glad that since it won't ever have a loader bucket on it again, you and Sr. went through the hassles of mixing and matching bearing parts and doing a bit of custom fabbing to make this work! It looks so, so much better!

Out in the field, there's no comparison to having a much larger front tire. We had a MF 275, the front pivot block(frog)broke we replaced the frog and modified the front spindles, and installed some worn rear 24's from a small Farmall on the front of the 275. Worked fantastic, and looked kinda cool as faux 4x4 haha

I have always liked the factory front wheels. I did like those Norden rims too because they were unique to me, I hadn't seen them before. I wonder if they would have looked really good painted silver with just the cap red. They had 4 square holes, would they built to accept Farmall front weights? That would have looked really good too.
@paulsilva3346Ай бұрын
Now that's what I'm talking about I agree completely 3:03
@squatch253Ай бұрын
The IH front weights are only cast and drilled for the 3-bolt mounting, so they wouldn’t work on the Norden wheels with the 4-bolt pattern.
@emerycreek8016Ай бұрын
Oh yeah, Duh. For some reason I thought I saw 4 stand bolts when the weights were sitting there painted. There may have never been weights to fit those rims. Now I understand more why you did all the effort to cross bearings and do the swap.
