Your reaction to X-Japan's "紅 / Kurenai" was exciting and very good. I was head-banging along with you while watching the video. I will introduce an episode in Japanese politics that is the most remote from the heavy metal rock band "X-Japan". 🤯💓🤘🏻 As you may know, 紅 / Kurenai is one of the colors of red. 🔴 For example, in Japanese, the surrounding area is dyed red by the sunset, and we say "紅に染まる/Kurenai ni Somaru/ (The sunset dyed the sky red 🌇)". Although the same red color is used in Japanese, the color red has various meanings and emotions. There have been some very eccentric and unconventional personalities among the prime ministers of Japan in the past. One of them, Mr. Junichiro Koizumi / 小泉 純一郎さん, once said in a media interview that he "likes X-Japan music," while doing the trademark pose of X-Japan fans, crossing his arms. This statement was shocking to the average Japanese person, even among all the prime ministers, and became a hot topic as a statement and action that was almost revolutionary. The Liberal Democratic Party(LDP) in Japanese politics is the largest party in Japan, and has been the ruling party for many years in postwar Japan, producing successive prime ministers. However, because the LDP was the ruling party for so long, there were many drawbacks. In such a party, Mr. Junichiro has always been a maverick, but his eccentric personality made him popular with the people, and he served as prime minister for about five and a half years. The LDP holds a large number of seats in the Diet (almost all seats are more than half), and the president of the LDP is basically the prime minister. During his term as prime minister, Mr. Junichiro used X-Japan's "Forever Love" as the song for the LDP's TV commercials. A few years before Mr. Junichiro became Prime Minister, Mr. Hide, a former member of X-Japan, passed away at the young age of 33. As he and Mr. Junichiro were from the same hometown, he helped establish a memorial museum for Mr. Hide in his hometown. This episode shows that Mr. Junichiro was a fan of X-Japan even before he became Prime Minister. In fact, X-Japan had disbanded as a band once in 1997. So, when Mr. Junichiro became Prime Minister, X-Japan did not exist as a heavy metal rock band. I think it is true that Mr. Junichiro's words were the catalyst for the world to pay renewed attention to X-Japan. They reunited in 2007 and have continued to this day. Mr. Hide's figure appears frequently in this concert video, but he passed away long before the X-Japan Tokyo Dome concert in 2009. I think the current members probably felt strongly about using footage of Mr. Hide filmed while he was alive, so that Hede would forever exist as a member of X-Japan. 🥺🙁😊 This "X-Japan and Mr. Junichiro" story shows that Diet members and the Prime Minister, who are always involved in stiff and meaningless discussions far removed from the general public, can also get excited about heavy metal rock music as human beings, and it is an anecdote that has helped young people who have never shown any interest in politics to turn their attention to politics. That's how I felt. ✨ If you had a time machine that could take you back to the past, would you want to go to this concert venue? 🤭👍🏻 PS : The reason I refer to Mr. Junichiro Koizumi by his first name, "Mr. Junichiro," is because the LDP presidential election is scheduled for this fall, and there is currently a lot of buzz about Mr. Junichiro's second son, Mr. Shinjiro Koizumi (43 years old), running for office. Will Mr. Shinjiro be able to become prime minister at an age younger than his father? That will be decided this fall. 😁😏

Hello 🤗 I would really like to go to this concert venue. But unfortunately I don’t have a time machine 😅 Thanks for this interesting story. Thank you for teaching me something new🤝👍 Now I know more about Japanese politics than I knew before 😁 Good luck Mr. Shinjiro Koizumi in the elections 👏

We will miss them forever. Taiji who always looked like he belonged in Guns N Roses, Heath who had to fill big shoes and made them his own and Hide, whose soul touched us all for too little time.
