American pilots did release off-target a couple times on extremely long missions. Once into Khaddafi’s tent in Libya, and once into the intelligence section of the Chinese embassy in Eastern Europe. For being tired, those were pretty high value non-targets!

I didn't think Phoenix missiles were exported to Iran, but yeah they got 300 some of the damn things. The only AIM-54 kills were by Iran during the Iran-Iraq war.

This has the potential to be a great mission and it was entertaining but the number of bugs is well... bugging me. SAM systems seem to be quasi-broken and enemy airfields seem to be broken and are jamming up like the Super Carriers occasionally are. Hopefully ED can get a grip on these issues.

I love this stuff, but I still don't understand how 1960's radars and missles are hunting down stealth aircraft while your 4th gen fighters with much better missles were constantly dodged by the older jets. Every time I watch you guys fly F-14's the AIM-54's suck but in this scenario they seem much more dependable. Did Iran upgrade the phoenixes better than Hughes ever could?

super cap, how about an all-out response flight. using all prop planes for ocean landings to protect the beach and an airfield in area. (Like when the Brits had fishing boats to get their armies off the docks) planes only have the use of dropping small bombs. no guns. can prop planes hold off the attack from the ocean.?

CAP used the x52 for years, it’s perfectly fine, rudders are not required to play, a head tracker is just a decent investment or build if yer gonna spend some serious time in game.

Why aren't the emergency electrical generators modeled? I know that all the Naval aircraft have them, don't the air force planes have them??

The thing in the F-15 is ( both normal and strikeeagle) is it doesn’t have an apu or jetfuel starter , the engines get startet by a pressurebottle that turns the turbine quick up to starting RPM. The only way to keap both electronic power and hydraulic power is to have enough air flow thow the engines to turn them but I didn’t had the alt left to do that so I shut down one engine to have enough time to reatch the airport lucky me I had 5 sec left of engine running after touchdown

I'm back with a hotas set and have been watching Cap and you guys for almost a yr now. I'm from the U.S. Navy ret. and new about there back up gen. I don't know much about the usaf stuff. You taught me something new, Thank You. LOL, I just finished my first practice run with the AH-64.. First time to land it, hover, and used both RDR and LSR hellfires to kill some practise tgt's that shoot back.. Needless to say I'm elated to not crash or get shot down or shoot myself down.. In fact I've only landed the Harrier, F-5, Huey, and now the Apatchy.. I've crashed everything else...LOL Thank You for taking the time to respond, I didn't expect that. In all I've had a good day.. Your one of the guys I find the funniest. I hope you get whatever your medical problem is taken care of, I'm daly reminded of that kind of mess and don't wish it on anyone.. So, I hope you get it taken care of and are able to put it behind you.. Take care of yourself and be safe out there.. 👍👍👍

As tensions spiral out of control in the middle east, with [as written at 0745 on the 18/1/24] Pakistan now launching strikes deep within Iran; could you do a wargame simulating Iran defending itself from a multi-fronted attack using nuclear missiles? I.e. Minuteman I missiles from Cyprus, Jericho missiles from Israel and the Shaheen III from Pakistan? (or equivalents capable within DCS). Would be interesting to see if Iran could defend itself from all-out war from all sides.

My question is this and it's really more a realism query not to spoil any fun. So if Iran had 40 f-4's and America attacked like this, we know that probably 7 or 8 probably couldn't take off but how many poor f-4 pilots just wouldn't take off? It's basically, "okay get up there and die while the 7 decent planes we have shoot from way back here." That obviously goes for most of their other pilots in antiquated fighters, but I'm just using an example.

i just recent re-installed the game and i have the f18 module from about a year ago when i played the game and when i get into the game it shows my other modules to install but doesnt show ther f18, so then i went to google to make sure i was on the right account and sure enaught it showed it owned the jet but it just wont let me install it in the game for some reason and i cant figure out why, ive tried deleting and re-installing the game twice and it still wont work, so if anyone knows what the issue it or how i can install it then please help cause ive been tryna figure it out for about 6 hours and am dying

I seriously doubt that all of Iran’s F4s and F14s would be operational. It is likely that over half of these planes have been cannibalized to keep the other half flying. Perhaps you could run it again with more realistic numbers on Iran’s side?
