I play the 565's with the steel shaft and they are fantastic. It was a choice between these and the new Mizuno Hot Metal. The Srixon were better for feel, distance and accuracy. A few of my golfing partners are thinking of switching to Srixon soon after trying mine on the range.

It's a real shame that Srixon doesn't have a greater share of the market as they are one of the best looking of all types of iron out there. One of the best things about the Z565 is that it's forged where hardly any GI irons are,thus you still have the feedback you normally associated with forged equipment. Thanks for the comment and for watching.

askgolfnut. They are huge in Asia (over 40% market share). The good thing for me is that the steel shaft is the same weight as the graphite. Great videos.

Thanks Terry. Glad you are enjoying my style of video. Don't forget to share my videos to your golf friends, that way I can start pushing the manufacturers for more equipment to test. Thanks for the support.

Terry Ainscough I'm just about to purchase a set and still debating over the hot metal or 565. Do you still feel the same way with your irons?
@terryainscough41007 жыл бұрын
Definitely, great feel and consistency. The only irons I'd consider changing to are the 765's. Try them and you'll love them.
@timmacivor19638 жыл бұрын
Without doubt the best performing iron range available today and they look better than anything else out there too. No upcharge on shafts or grips so I'd be struggling to see why anybody would chose another set. I've had the 945's and now the 765's, they're just a joy to hit

They feel absolutely lovely to strike especially the Z965, but with the forged throughout the set its hard not to say they are the best looking and feeling clubs out today. Following Mizuno in no up charging for upgraded components really does make it hard to say no. Also very competitively priced too. Just a shame srixon doesn't have more of the market. Very popular in Asia though. Thanks for the comment and for watching and don't forget to subscribe if you haven't already.

i gamed srixon clubs (many years ago)..they make nice clubs...but then i tried mizunos and i stayed with them since.
@AskGolfNut8 жыл бұрын
I would say to give it a go and see if you like the feeling of them. Unfortunately they don't make the Z965 in left handed option. Very much like manufacturers to leave out their most bladed iron to the lefties. Something I'm not in agreement with. Thanks for the comment and for watching Adam.

Getting these in my bag. Srixon are a hidden gem..I chose these over Mizuno And I `m really really shocked to say that!!

The Z965 really do feel nice and every bit as nice as the MP or JPX900 Tours. Cost wise the Srixon just pips the Mizuno too. Only a shame that they aren't one of the top top brands as they are every bit as good. Thanks for the comment and for watching and don't forget to subscribe if you haven't already.

Are these better than the JPX 900. Are they a similar price too and is the fitting similar between the two makes?
@AskGolfNut8 жыл бұрын
Between the two I'd have to say the Mizuno fitting is by far the better option. Price wise all 3 models of the Srixon are about the same but the Mizuno JPX900 range come in at different prices. All the Srixon are forged where only 2 of the 3 from Mizuno are. Taking nothing away from Mizuno though. The Srixon irons are an option to try of your in the market for new irons although you can't beat Mizuno for build quality and fitting options. Nice review. What sets are for which hcp ranges?
@AskGolfNut7 жыл бұрын
Hi YakMan, unfortunately there is no simple answer to that question as everyone is different. Gone are the days where people fit solely on your handicap (or at least I hope they have). When it comes to fitting for certain types of iron head I go by striking ability. There are so many examples out there where high handicappers strike the ball lovely but they are let down by poor and reliable face to path deliveries. In those cases they can hit the most bladed options. It also works visa versa as some scratch handicappers dont hit the ball as well as people think they should so they play more helping irons. I hope this helps, it basically goes by strike, so if you are someone that repeatedly strikes the area you should then the world is your oyster. If you however have a slight mis-strike tendency then I would look at more forgiving heads. Thanks for your comment and for watching.

Brendan Parr, thanks very much for the kind feedback. I'm working on getting the Mizuno JPX900 Driver to review which would be great. Glad you are enjoying the content. Feel free to comment with anything you'd like to see faults and fixes wise and I'll see if i can do a specific fix video. Thanks for watching.

Great viedo. I was thinking about getting a new set of irons from the RSI 2 and the Srixon seem like a really good club, unfortunately most golf stores don't carry Srixon so I can't go hit it. Just wondering what your top 5 game improvement irons of this year are?
@AskGolfNut7 жыл бұрын
+Greg Milam Hi Greg. My top 5 for 2017 now we have had all the product launches for the rest of 2017 would be. 1. JPX900 Hot Metal 2. PING G400 3. TITLEIST 718 AP1 4. CALLAWAY STEELHEAD 5. TAYLORMADE M1 (even though technically the M2 is the more GI iron the M1 is the best compromise between crazy lofts and forgiveness. The M2 for many is non functional after a 6 iron.) Thanks for the comment and for watching.

Great video, I wanted to know your thoughts on this: do you think cast irons have a longer playing life than forged irons? I only ask because I recently ordered a set of the Z565 irons and they are fantastic but as I was unwrapping them from the plastic I notice little nicks and dings in the soft forged metal. After a few rounds of them rattling around in the back of my cart there were more little dings which got me thinking about the overall durability of forged clubs because I never saw this in previous cast sets. Thanks again for videos, keep up the good work.

Hi Michael, thanks for the comment. I've made a video describing my take on the main differences living with forged vs cast clubs. Stay tuned as soon as I've edited it I'll be uploading. Best way to keep up to date is to subscribe to the channel if you haven't already.

Love my Z565 irons!!!!
@AskGolfNut6 жыл бұрын
Hi hp 355, the Z565 irons hold in my eyes at least a unique place among the game improvement irons in that having that lovely forged feeling. So many GI irons are fixated on explosive power feelings (distance sells) that they take away from the pure forged feeling of clubs from years ago. Cast has always been around but the forged forgiveness in the Z565 just feels so nice comparing up against the more power hungry competition. Great choice, great clubs. Thanks for the comment and for watching 👍

just sunny I can't disagree even if I tried really hard. Other manufacturers have a lot to learn from the likes of Srixon for making a forged, very good looking Game Improvement CB iron. Thanks for the comment and for watching and don't forget to subscribe if you haven't already.

Such a sneer for the graphite shaft. Quite elitist.
@AskGolfNut6 жыл бұрын
Hi Kevin. I personally have no problem with graphite shafts although I do game steel. My biggest disappointment was not being able to get the same shaft as the rest of the irons so people that don't know that I'm not shaft sensitive can directly compare them. I have found that about 5% of golfers are not sensitive to shaft changes due to their neutral loading and lucky for me I'm one of those people and therefore quite handy when it comes to reviewing equipment as it won't affect launch conditions. I do wish to apologise for the poor audio though as when I look back on the videos I produced earlier on I'm the channel I can't believe how bad it was. Nowadays I have a 4k setup and wireless mics and the quality is so much better. Thanks for the comment and for watching 👍

Mp_25 or srixon 565
@AskGolfNut6 жыл бұрын
Oh good question. I'd have to say MP25 but if you would have asked Z765 or MP25 I would of had to go the way of the Srixon. Thanks for the comment and for watching 👍

AskGolfNut cool. Thanks I have mp_25 now and was just wondering bout the 565 really like the mp_25 tho
@AskGolfNut6 жыл бұрын
Obviously I would go test them but really they are very much a similar club with the Z565 being a touch more on the forgiving side. If there isn't much of a performance change or difference in desired flight I'd stick with the MP25s.
