Hey Brendan, congrats on the new sticks. I've been a Srixon fan for 2 seasons now. I picked up a set of z545's back in 2015. Love them , they are sick long , and feel great because their forged. I would love to graduate to a z765 set . I would go 765 thru the 7i and go with z565 6i,5i,4i. I'm not in a big rush, as the z545s are fantastic. I hit my 8i 165... crazy. Also... get the head covers. I'm sorry I didn't . It's worth being a golf nerd, and keeping those z965s pristine. On another note .. I'm a total Srixon fanboy , as I picked up a z765 driver with a Mayazaki shaft. You should have hit their drivers. I love it. I was gaming a Callaway XR16 pro driver, and now I'm enjoying the Z765 driver. I've been only golfing for 2 years. I've been watching your channel since it's inception way back. You know back when you used to interrogate Monty ... love the channel ... I signed up with Bobby Lopez . We gotta work on me from the ground up.Do yourself a favor and try the Srixon Drivers.. their really coming around ... hey , keep up the good work.

I'm glad Srixon/Cleveland is getting some credit for their irons. If I didn't play Mizuno, I would play Srixon/Cleveland in a heartbeat. Great video!

I just got a Srixon combos set as well! I went even further and got the 4 and 5 iron in Z565, and my only blades are the 9 and PW. I actually do use head covers for these irons (my first set of brand new not used irons). I keep them on for travel and practice, and take them off before a round. No shame in protecting something beautiful.

isthatabear did you have the lofts of the irons bent at all for your gapping?

I didn't. It was a one degree difference for three or four of the clubs. I figured I would get on a foresight and test out all of the distances first to see if I could live with the slight differences, or get them bent later on. Either way it's a huge adjustment for me anyways since my previous irons are Taylormade LTs circa 2002(?). The lofts on those have a three degree difference with the 965s. My biggest concern is the swing weight difference with the 565s vs the other two models. The 565s are D1, while the others are D3. It almost made me not want to mix in the 565s, but I need the extra forgiveness in my longest irons. EDIT: by the way, if I use the 765 lofts as my benchmark, the two 965 blades are the same loft and don't need adjustment. For the 565s, the 4 iron is the same as 765s, so the only iron in my set that might need adjustment is the 5 iron (24 vs 25 degree).

I'm 16. I was just fitted and ordered the same clubs, but i am the opposite 565 series from 4-6 iron. 765 series from 5 iron down, with cleveland rtx 3 wedges! beautiful irons. Great Vids!

I have almost all the 45 series clubs Srixon made, bag, hats, balls and two woods in the 65s. At my club they call me the "Srixon man." I started with the 545s, then got the 745s, then the blades. I played all three separately and in various combos. Now I just play the 945s. And because they are so pretty, I have no shame using club covers on them. Not one person has joked about the covers because when the pull the covers off to take a peek, they know why they're on them!

I can't believe Srixon isn't more popular than they are among players. They are the best feeling forged irons, made from the softest metal (1020) of all the OEM's, they are cheaper than all the OEM's, AND the insane amount of shaft upgrades at no upcharge?! I upgraded my shafts to Tour Issue AMT X100's, normally would be a $200-300 upcharge, for free! That's unbelievable...

I had a set of Cleveland CG16 irons. Well, I still have them. I liked them so much I searched out a set of the CG16 Tour irons. If you're not including Cleveland/Srixon in your iron search, you're making a big mistake. I'm a 5 handicap btw.

I have been playing with the 765s for over a year.. I still like them allot... I even have the Srixon Hybrids in the 3, 4, and 5 which are so easy to hit I have put my 765- 3,4,5, irons in storage.. IMO good choice...

I started using iron head covers a couple of years ago just because I hated the clanking noise when playing a round, once you get over there nerd factor it makes for a much more peaceful round

Srixon irons are so underrated in the market. Because they don't pump out the advertising like the others and new clubs what seems like every other month they get looked over. I did basically the same thing early last year and the z745 irons were IMO the best I had ever hit which is why they're in my bag too. The two year cycle they do also makes your investment feel better in the long run as well

Club head covers stop bag noise which is super annoying, the added bonus is that they protect the clubs also but only cover every 2nd club not the full set!!

Only base your iron distances off carry. I own a gc2 simulator- the fairway on the range bounces and rolls a lot. If you hit the green the bounce and roll is much more realistic. Again, carry only. The Srixion blades look sweet these days. I do blades (Nike vr TW) up to 6i and then 4 and 5 hybrids. I do hybrids for the higher launch and better off misstrike

Love them. I'm getting the 565s. What my fitter did was deloft the set by 2 degrees which out it back to normal. I think the PW is 45 and the 6 iron is 29. Still a little strong but not outrageous. I was playing 10 year old clubs with a 47 PW and a 31 6 iron. I too, had a tough choice between iblades and Srixon. Did you get to film a tour of the facilities?

I'm currently working on some updates to the Srixon UK website right now - and it's great to hear how much you love the Z 65 series. They're certainly the best looking clubs I've seen on the market in recent years. You should also check out the latest Srixon drivers - they were voted the most wanted drivers of 2017, and even beat the M1 from Taylor Made. P.S. I think the UK marketing team could probably beat the US team if they played against each other :)

There is nothing wrong with iron covers. I have covers on my 745's and my T7 wedges because clubs bounce around a lot when on a cart. I don't use the covers when carrying though because I love the chatter.

As I have said previously on this thread, I had never met Brendon until after his test had already been conducted. The location where he did his testing, The Club Fix, does sell Srixon products along with every other major OEM targeting serious golfers.
