My friend rode his Tricked Out Fury to Sturgis. All the Harley riders were checking it out saying how awesome it was, wanting to know who built his custom chopper. When he told them it was a Honda Fury and the conversation stopped immediately.

@Phenomenon Boy I have owned (3) Harley's over the past 15 years. I don't disrespect anyone else's bike no matter if its a Enduro, Sport Bike or a Cruiser of any make and model. I have to say I have got a chuckle out of people on scooters calling them motorcycles. BUT, I did see a Honda Fury at a bike night here a few years ago and I've considered buying one for myself to have for shorter rides. Not EVERY Harley rider is disrespectful, we all have our favorite Auto maker and/or Bike manufacturer.

Actually....I lost my wife and kids to the world. I fell in love with a young lady and she died from injuries from a fall. I was injured and I needed help. I rode my motorcycle, drove my Jeep, high top Chevy Express 2500, and my Ford Fusion SE to therapy and group sessions. ( I was all alone and taking a sabbatical from work. I needed to keep all the batteries charged....I would have drove my "Breaking Bad Bounder" if the parking lot had been bigger.) I was never actually suicidal....I rode with ALL gear, all the time. Sometimes I wore my hi-vis. Areostitch Roadcrafter suit and matching Arai helmet for a 6 mile ride! I didn't mind dying but I didn't want to become seriously injured, financially ruined, unable to work, on top of being all alone and suddenly not able to attract women as well as I could before "the crash". The therapy helped. Riding my ST1300 gave me satisfaction and people seemed to be interested in getting to know me . I won't say that having and actually RIDING a nice motorcycle will make everyone happy but for me it has been a rewarding experience. Five years later, I just completed a 10 day, 3300 mile tour on that same bike and I have been married for 2 years. We believe that God prepared us to love and care for each other. My beautiful wife came all the way from the Philippines and while I have been running up and down the roads on a fast Honda.

I am very seriously contemplating buying one of these bikes. I like the style, the deep rumble of the big v twin, and how low it sits seeing as I am only 5'8 and 180lbs. It's been years since I rode, but this thing seems like it would be a nice one to get back on two wheels with. My last two bikes were older sport bikes, but I've always loved the chopper look but not the chopper price or how they felt.

Money is a little like food: you need a certain amount of it to live, and especially if you've had to go without it, it's easy to believe that more is always better, but beyond a certain point, having more can be harmful to your wellbeing. I had a 2010 Honda Fury. That's the first year of the Fury as well. I gotta say that I absolutely loved it. The Fury is an awesome motorcycle, and a great choice for someone looking for a cool custom chopper style bike that still performs. I wouldn't classify it as a muscle bike. It's not super strong, but very torquey. It'll reach the top speeds very quickly and rides really good and smooth for the style of bike it is. It could definitely benefit from a 6th gear, as 65-70 mph, mine definitely wanted another gear. It would keep climbing and I'd be at 75-80 mph without even realizing it. Otherwise it is setup great as fun, sporty, easy to ride chopper style bike. The only reason I don't own mine anymore, is due to an accident that resulted in insurance totaling the bike. But I do miss it. It's a great bike to own and ride.

Happiness is a feeling. It is completely contained within you and not attached or dependent on anything material. Material can only bring temporary happiness and over time simply becomes like any other drug and the constant pursuit of material happiness only makes addicts of the material world. Which means complete bondage to the state of suffering and false identity with the material world. Hence all over the world of mankind.. ppl live with complaining state of being. All material is limited it can only bring limited/false happiness. Happiness in the human condition is the same as being free from desires. Which means to be complete.. whole.. such that there is no need for anything in order to be "happy". This is known as the state of contentment. Humans must know that you become/are the result of the thoughts you practice. This is the most important practice or conditioning of the human state of being, for all that we manifest in life begins as a thought in the mind. When we become aware of our thought conditioning this also leads one to begin to question the origin of their thoughts and how outside environment factors strongly contribute to influencing what thoughts are occupying our minds. So to use a fitness analogy... What kind of reps are you putting in with your thoughts? Are you constantly in pursuit of material desires? Well, that means you are conditioning your state of being to search for contentment in only the material realm. Man can choose to either believe in the need for the material desire.. OR.. the straight path is to attempt to remove the desire from self.. or at least ask WHY do I feel this desire? Follow this path.. and poof.. Happiness! How simple it is to be fully happy.. like an ego-less and identity free infant...content and at Peace..free from internal conflict and being whole..ONE.. when one has been liberated from the concepts of material desires. This is the state of perpetual unlimited happiness. Seek the practices and train your being such that you annihilate the ego and become truly free in being...break the bondage.. become no-thing.. such that you may posses the will to love everything(including your own being, maybe if we fully love ourselves as is, we have no need of the material desires)..free from the inherent biases that come from being bonded to the relative, contextually based "world of parts".. you will no longer be in a place where you are looking to receive.. but you will be so fulfilled that all you want to do is give. But nothing may have changed in your material world.. in fact.. you may find your self with far less material.. but fully filled w Eternal Joy.

I love all your videos test drive videos but this one was my favorite. I love the bike and now want one for myself 😆 everything about this video was great. Keep it up (Yes I know I’m watching 2-4yr old videos, but I love this style of videos. Your audio is perfectly clear!)

It was originally designed for an 1800 but honda said it was too much power for the weight and design. As soon as the put it out there, I'll be making a down for one, still not gettin rid of my 17 fury though,,,, it's my baby!

The problem was that they came out the same price as the Yamaha Raider at $15K. Fury has a 1300cc/80ci while my Raider has a 1854cc/113ci motor, fury has 57hp to raider's 90 stock hp, 200mm rear wheel compared to Raider's 210mm rear tire but Raider can go to 240mm with no mods just throw it on stock rim, gas tank 3.8 to Raider's 4.2 gallon tank, rake 32 degrees to Raider's 40 degrees on front forks. Now the Honda Fury comes at $10,500 compared to the Yamaha Raider at $15,200.

If I couldn't get a Raider it was my second choice. Great looking and riding bike. Chopper look with Honda dependability. A custom chopper at a Honda price. After you throw an aftermarket pipe on it, it sounds great.

Definitely. I agree that Fury is a fine ride, it will get you down the highway and sound good doing it. I was just saying I preferred the Raider's look and feel more than the Fury's. But I still think the Fury is fine and with the right aftermarket pipes can sound great. If I get a second bike it will be a Fury.

I bought a Fury after looking at them for it for a while. I brought it home and parked it in the garage. The wife gave me dirty looks and resentment. It's my release after working all week. She accepted that. I get cudos every time I ride it. It is custom chopper looking and gets second looks all the time. It's a Honda but it is not just a Honda. No one leaves me behind when they want to race on the freeway (or from a stop light). It's a Honda but it gets respect where ever I take it. I am having lots of fun riding it. It's been a long time since I've had so much enjoyment just riding; anywhere.

@silverfox392
@silverfox392 6 жыл бұрын
HumGuitar it's 1300cc and yes, the tank is tiny. The Yamaha Stryker has better numbers performance wise and a larger gas tank, plus the Stryker is belt drive. The Fury is shaft driven 🤮
@jonnyg3672
@jonnyg3672 6 жыл бұрын
HumGuitar I went with a Stryker: corners better (road both), bigger gas tank (seat is comfortable I like long trips), metal fenders (Honda is plastic, my preference). The fury is super cool just wasn’t for me. Bye the way the 1300 in both bikes are solid as a rock.
@HumGuitar
@HumGuitar 6 жыл бұрын
Jonny G thanks, I'll take all the advice I can get. I'm only going to be able to afford to buy one motorcycle, so I want to get the one that is best for me. I've watched a few videos/reviews of the Stryker, and it seems (because of being so low) that it is prone to scrape the pegs. Do you have that problem? I really like the looks of the Stryker though, and I would also like to take some long trips with my wife as well. The Stryker's bigger gas tank and more comfortable seat puts it much higher on my list than the Fury. I'm also looking hard at the 650 Vulcan S and the V-Strom 650, mainly for economic reasons. The Vulcan 900 is also a possibility.
@silverfox392
@silverfox392 6 жыл бұрын
HumGuitar I liked my Stryker, it will definitely scrape the pegs if you corner aggressive. I don't think it's Max lean angles are really much different from many other cruisers out there, but it's been a while so I'd have to look it up. Honestly I wouldn't worry too much about pegs scraping, if they do you certainly don't want to go much farther but I never felt like the bike couldn't handle itself in the corners. Felt pretty light and nimble in all honesty I've you get used to the rear end feeling like it's taking forever to turn in. Definitely a different feeling from bikes with less rake / shorter wheelbases. For the $ you can't really beat the Stryker of the bikes you listed - IMO

I wanted to tell you, I really appreciate the scriptures you share on here. God bless!! The only thing that I can't get around and I'm not sure why is the fact that to me the gas tank doesn't look like it fits the bike because the frame rails aren't covered by the tank. I will have to agree and disagree with you on choppers. I love choppers! But, like you said, they have to be ride-able and comfortable. However, if you can't handle a bike properly and want to be able to do it better no matter what bike you ride. Then, you need to go to the Ride Like a Pro channel to learn how to handle a bike.

If you want a chopper. The Fury is the best bike made. The Fury is the only real chopper. The Rader was not a true chopper. The problem was Honda made the Fury just after the end of the Chopper Craze. By then you could pick up a $40,000 dollar Big Dog for $10- $15 thousand dollars. Had Honda released the Fury during the Chopper Craze, they would have been back ordered. .....And yes it's the VTX 1300, which uses a single pin crank, which gives it the great sound. God bless you brother.

I have the rarer 2013 VT1300CS Sabre which has the old school power of the carbed vtx of 75HP 100Tq with the bigger tank than fury and smaller rear tire. I hate the fury cluster mucking up the handle bar, mine is still on tank which is perfect! My only complaint is the frame scraping on turns, they could have done a better job at tucking that in.

The only things I disliked about my fury was the rev limiter and speed limiter. Top speed is 100mph and rpm is around 4k or so. It hits 100mph very quick but I feel like my bike needs that choke collar removed if you know what I meen. I want my bike to show the 100% potential that it should be showing. I'll deffently be putting that device into the computer for the rev limiter, rpm, and 30% (I think) more horse power I believe. Vance and Himes exaust installed made a very HUGE DIFFERENCE in sound as well. I love it!

The Fury 1300 engine is the same block basically as the older 1300 VTX, only now they are fuel injected. That may make them a bit more responsive so you have that but they have alot less horse power than the older 1300 VTX (about 10 less hp)
