BTW, there are two fuel tanks on the warrior. The reserve gas tank for the warrior is under the seat. The upper tank (the one you see) is part number is 5PX-Y2410-10-X4 while the lower tank (the one you don't see) is 5PX-24280-00-00

The Warrior is more of a sport cruiser than a muscle bike, it was built for cornering, more than straight line speed, hence the not crazy wide rear tire, and the tall height by cruiser standards. If I recall the max lean angle is 37 degrees, which is getting up into naked bike territory and obliterates any other cruiser. That bike is a cruiser that you can go have fun in the twisties with, and not worry about dragging hard parts.

I have been blessed with the opportunity to buy and resale used Motorcycles, and I have had two different warrior XV 1700. Traded one of them for a Suzuki M109R2 and just sold the other one about a month ago. Those bikes are extremely fun to ride, and surprisingly more powerful than I expected. The two I had was 2002 models, and if I could afford to pick 5 bikes out of the 20 to 25 that I have had this year" one would be a 2002 Yamaha warrior xv1700 we named the Gray Ghost. That bike was super nice! As a matter of fact I traded it even money for a Suzuki M109R2, and turned around and sold it for $7,500 dollars. I think I had $1,500 in the Warrior so I had to do it.

The others just such a sweet ride there's no perfecting it. It eats one friends VRod Muscle and another friends M109R... Wait till the other is done and I get Ivan's tune... top end monster? I had this bike for many years UNTIL.... Loved it so much. The ergos aren't the best after a couple hours, but for the Sunday beach cruise or quick canyon run they are epic fun. By the way, the fuel tank isn't the biggest. You get about 110 miles out of it .. riding the bike the way it's meant to. And that means a fill up 1-2 times/wk. And... there is no fuel gauge which is why i know exactly how far before a fill up. Great bike for what it does best.

Since you're a dealer, you can get wholesale pricing. I've never ever seen these bikes go less the $7grand. They are nice. Too bad they're not made anymore and like used H.D. it's next to impossible to get a bike that's not been trashed out in some way. This one here is the right color too. Same with the M109R LTD.

Yeah i ways wanted a Yamaha cruiser, really good bikes. But man 1600 cc is still a lot of bike I'm my opinion, I have a Honda fury and it has plenty of power. The Harleys are much heavier for their size in comparison to Japanese cruisers and have more power generally but I'm sure the vstar and road star bikes have a lot of pull especially if they have belt instead of shaft drive. Aloha from Hawaii, wish we had a dealership like yours out here.

Suggested standard for the "is it big enough for ..." question; use boxing weight standards (which are universal, so men and women): heavy weight is #200+, light-heavy is #180-ish. You get the idea and the weight categories are easily found online so anyone else who asks can be pointed to the same data with no added effort or wasted time on your part.

You can get them on CycleTrader.com new old stock as old as 14' for about $12K with no miles never tilted, (new old stock).

I have the royal star tour, but I feel like I want a bike that I can just have fun on. And if I can "walk the floor" with that bike. It might be a must get. :))

A good friend of mine had one and let me ride it several times. It had great torque, but my problem with it was twofold. 1. Even mild turns drug parts on the ground, and 2. If you laid in to it, just when you think "here it comes....! you get... the rev limiter." It was such a tease with such a low redline.

I had an 02 Warrior, loved the powerhouse, hated the exhaust, the "water heater muffler" was too quiet, and the Cobra exhaust were too loud!
