This speaker seems to have been discontinued for many years. The new R90s are $680 at Crutchfield. Unfortuately this video isn't reproducing these properly, but no matter how much better these, or the latest version sound I think I'd keep my RB42s and buy myself a new pre amplifier or something.😆

My impression of these here is the same as other samples of them I've listened to. They sound very good, but have little to no bass, absolutely require a sub, and are very pricey for such a small speaker with no bass.

@@DougMen1 Why are you blaming the amp? It sounds quite good with the Dentons and Revels, and not bad with the Elac and the R3s. It sounds like a class D to me, bit stiff and button down but detailed...WHEN it's recorded correctly.

@@williammiebach1798 Well, maybe because it sounds out of phase now in this video and in the one he just posted with the Triangles. If it isn't the amp, then something in the recording/mixing/mastering/processing is FUBAR.
