SRT Replica Wheels for the RAM - Install and Review

Purchased a new set of wheels and tires for the RAM! Finally wore the original ones out and needed a new set so went with the SRT Replica wheels and Toyo tires. Install went fine, needed balancing again but overall pretty happy with the results. Feel free to subscribe, leave a like, or comment.

The stock sport wheels are around 33 to 34 pounds, cast 22s are probably 40 plus lbs, one reason I ended up not getting them, I was looking at those exact wheels

Thanks for the info. I still like the look of them, but man are they heavy compared to what came off. If something happens to them or I need to replace, I'm going to look for something more lightweight for sure!

I bought the exact same wheels and I bought the same tires you have but I got them from Amazon separately from the wheels. They’ve been on my truck for two years. I’ve tried to have them balanced eight times so far and my truck still shakes between 45 and 65 miles an hour. The rims aren’t bent because I had them checked. I even had a road force test done that told me one of the tires was egg shaped. Replacing it helped a little but the wobble has come back. It’s to the point where I have my factory rims and tires in the bed of my truck waiting on some spare time to have them put back on. I give up. Oh, I can tell you exactly how much each wheel weighs. 80 pounds with the inflated tire.

Wow man, that sucks. I hate to hear that. Mine were definitely balanced bad from where I ordered them. Luckily local shop got them balanced correctly and no more issues. I still like the way the look, and they have held up fine, but man, like you said, they are HEAVY. If something happens to them, I will be looking for some lighter wheels for sure.

@@RaymondLamb Word of advice, UPGRADE YOUR BRAKES. You can’t believe how much longer it takes to stop with these heavy bastards on here. I did drilled and slotted and barely made a difference. I should’ve went with a big brake kit.

You are exactly correct. I noticed a huge difference in braking performance with these heavy wheels. Had to start slowing down a good bit before I would use to. I'm sure I'm eating through my brake pads much quicker. When it's time to change I plan on upgrading. All this for a wheel that looked a little better lol!

What’s the hub bore? If it’s oversized I’d try getting some hub centric rings, oem wheels center on the hub, sometimes after market wheels have an oversized bore to fit multiple models, otherwise you’re relying on the lugs to keep your wheels centered

Hey, yes, they have been just fine and have held up well. No problem with the wheels or tires I got (other than having to get them balanced). I still wish they were lighter, as they are very heavy and did have an impact on MPG and performance. But I still like them and they are doing good.
