and that's it for those who said that this car is not safe, and that SSC avoids talking about it. it's funny to see how the comments of the SSC haters have changed. it seems that the spine is much more flexible than we can imagine. this car is extraordinarily well thought out, they took 10 years to perfect it, and the result is here.

Great video Robert, you're correct, aerodynamic drag increases exponentially as speed increases. 300+ MPH is getting close to 1/2 the speed of sound! The Tuatara's design is impressive in regards to aerodynamics! 👍🏎😁

This was a really interesting video, it's not often you get to hear all of this information directly from the guy who designed it. It seems like this car is exceptionally well designed, I hope SSC follows through on its production.

200 mph with the window down? That's the very first time I ever heard in my life. I was once on a highway at the rear right seat of a Fiat Punto. The speed was just 100mph and I was already feeling some pressure and hearing air noise. The windows from the rear doors were just 1cm open. So for this one to have this capability, it's just amazing. The design is beautiful. I love that rear window over the engine.

Love how you are covering the SCC its made the process more transparent which is what we love. I love how MR. JWW did this with the Valkarie so far. Now I want someone to do this with the AMG One. That's my favorite current hypercar as track times are cooler to me then top speed although both are crazy hard to achieve.

I did like the idea they have come up with drawing air in at the back to immediately vent it out into a diffuser just above ground level with all those aero benefits. Not something most designers would come up with as they just want the air gone but to do this is clever.

@@RobertMitchell Sense this is the Top Speed variant, what do you think about a 315/35r20 on a 20x11.5, larger diameter and less drag, not talking about having the preferred tire brand and performance category, just the tire size and it merits and any disadvantages vs a 345/30r20 on a 20x13(or 12.5?).

It looks amazing. It also manages to stand out from a crowd of other hyper cars designed by algorithms, that just shows how much thought and reasoning went into its design. I'm still sceptical about the name, but frankly I don't care. This thing is beautiful and outrageous. They should bring it to Goodwood Festival of Speed, It has definitely earned its place there.
