Yes, the white spots are Lenticels: specialised, barely visible, skin organs which ensure communication between the outside and the inside of the tuber and play an essential role in respiration. When the get wet, they swell a bit and become more visible - not a problem and they shrink back after picking, mine have all gone, and you notice them more on red spuds anyway.

Quick tip, if you are going to store them then don't wash them. The exposure to moisture can cause rotting and accelerate greening.

@@deborahthompson5041 hi Deborah I added a lot of stuff to the soil, bio char, top soil from under the compost bin, homemade compost, blood fish and bone, yellow sulphur, super soil fertiliser and super phosphate 🤣💪👍👌
