SSR 160 TX (KLX110 based) Build | Pirinha 140cc Engine

2016 SSR Motorsports 160 TX. Picked it up to re build from the frame up and then toss in a Pirinha YX 140cc engine!..Going to be doing a custom BBR D2 or D3 exhaust system. SUB! An follow along with the build! Building this for Supermoto and MX. 🏁

I dont got anything special for goped engines just the run of the mill G290RC and the CY engines ..i got a lot of old skool goped parts from back in the day up in my attic i gotta check out one of there days bet i could make some good money an help out some people looking for certain parts that are long discontinued

Actually yes. There are die hard goped dudes. I actually love them myself. Set up right they can be insane. I have parts waiting for a 60mph build. Pocket bike wheels with Italian tires. That reed is actually bartolone. I thought of obr because they are goto for anything rc or goped.

So is the pipe compatible with the crf 110 or the klx im about to get a pipe on my yx140 rebuild and I’m not sure what I’m gonna beg

Unfortunately no, its not compatible with klx or crf110 its designed for this ssr tx frame and uses a honda crf50 exhaust port so its different

Hey man, im planning on getting the piranha 140re here pretty soon and im curious as to what you would do to the motor. I know they make a cam for the 140 and the mukuni VM26 carb works pretty well with that motor. Whats your opinion?

I wanna do the cam myself actually haha its funny u say that and as far as carb i got a Nibbi PWK26mm an a bunch of jets for it …i have experience with a vm26 too there awesome try 22.5 pilot and 190 main jet , clip in middle of needle and air screw 1.5 turns out from tight…👌🏼

Absolutely, you can buy it from BBR motorsports directly by calling them, they are awesome people very helpful and support the pitbike community..its made for the CRF50..you can also buy it off other vendors like factoryminibikes and also tboltusa

@@ericlara8986 Yessir It will definitely fit all you need to do is what i mentioned in the video when i was pointing to the sides of the cylinder…it’s very simple just a matter of grinding down each side of the cylinder where it bolts, it doesn’t effect anything at all just needs a little bit of metal taken off of the actual cylinder itself, you will see what i mean when you get it..it comes with hardware an everything. It’s definitely the best and strongest option for a skid plate for them! 💪🏼

I’m sorry for all the questions Would I be better off buying a piranha motor instead of putting money into the stock 170?And what bbr chain guide will fit the swing arm? And if I did get the yx motor I’m looking at the 150cc klx based ycf

Yeah buy a YX140 (honda based top end) or the YX160 (klx based top end) …BBR chain guide works only if its a crf50 type chain guide on ur bike. I wouldn’t get a yx150 i would recommend the YX160 or the YX140 if you can’t handle the power of the 160 haha

Ok I’m going to go for the piranha 140 with the tb 146 big bore kit. Do I have to buy a exhaust for a crf50 type bike? The one that came with the 170tx won’t work will it?

Yeah that would be sick on a lxr for sure! And you would have to either buy a full exhaust from BBR or know someone willing to sell you just the muffler witch is really tough im lucky to have got this one, it took a wile to find too

@@kellyallen9248 pretty sure biggest you can bore out a yx140 engine is to a 146cc because of the size of the spigot hole on the cases, you need to build off a YX160cc engine to get the big bore

Yesir its all finished up im going to be posting that video im almost done editing it..ill be going over all the parts and how i like the bike overall with the 140cc engine and with the supermoto wheels. Right now its setup for supermoto bc the hub was played out an the bearings weren’t tight in the hub on the other MX wheels, i just finished rebuilding a new rear wheel for the moto setup. Ill be uploading that video this week or sooner 👌🏼👍🏼

I only rebuilt the top end on this YX140 engine. I did do a hot to video but unfortunately i deleted it from my memory card before it finished uploading & something happen wile it was uploading an I couldn’t re upload it. I was pissed lol
