Wow! I love the suggestion of sending our Guardian Angel to Holy Mass for us when we cannot attend. I’m definitely going to incorporate that practice into my daily prayers when I cannot make it to daily Mass. I need to figure out where I can get the booklet for The Mass of St. John. Anyone know where I can find it?

I have been reading the work of Fr. John Gerard SJ, circa 1610. Such a horror. Catholics were so brave in that 200 years of death penalties, fines, imprisonments. I am learning what the Lord expects of me during such times. Our faith ancestors have much wisdom to offer.

How can on attend extar mass.during the week? Like.most people I work in the Morning, at noon, afternoon...

Depending on your location, many dioceses have at least one Mass a week offered in the evening, or later in the afternoon. Some also have very early masses that you may be able to attend before going to work. Check your diocese's website or call their chancery.

@@patrickvalentino600 thanks...I did... we work from 7am...I don't have a cozy office job. Construction is different. Sometimes I go Saturday afternoon but in the summer that's impossible...

@@SensusFidelium God does want the impossible. So we can feel inadequate and the humble ourselves. Seriously if God made everything why did he make us so evil and deserving of eternal punishment? If he made us in his own image? I'm not a calvinist but God made this way. Some churches are so about me as a man being so evil and screwed up I really don't wanna listen to that. Life is beating us men down enough. Then the church is beating me down calling me a sinner and evil etc. Then women call us losers and the media/government complex calls us toxic for being men and racist for being white. I mean seriously what man with an ounce of self worth is that masochistic? Amazing how I managed to get this old, holding a job and being fit and healthy if all I feel is negative vibes. I wanna be able to do good things and not be treated like a villain on death row on probation. And I really don't enjoy Cathilic Church. You go there....have mass...leave....and everyone ignores you. When I was protestant at least people TALKED to me and we socialized. In a Catholic Church I never feel any connection on a human level. Priest doesn't know my name. Noone even bothered checking if I am Catholic. Noone in the parish knows me. Never met anyone, don't know anyone there by name. It's so cold and impersonal.
