St. Mary's Wilderness, Virginia - Backpacking

July 22-23, 2017 - Small group trip to St. Mary's Falls and beyond. About 6 miles, one night, and lots of playing in a beautiful mountain river.
Trailhead: 37.92514, -79.13745 (Off St. Mary's Rd, near Steele's Tavern, VA)
Route: Out and Back, St. Mary's River Trail
Mileage: 6.0; 2.2 miles each way to St. Mary's Falls. We extended to about 3 miles each way to minimize impact at camping location.
Elevation: +280 feet trailhead to falls.
