That Italian restaurant, Il Girasole, is a great place to eat. As is the Bosphorous Turkish restaurant around the corner.

Hi jagreb, thanks for watching. I’ve been to Girasole, been there a few times and enjoyed the food. Never been to Bosphorous but must visit some time. Cheers Andy

Hi Rapid man, yep, you’re right it was sad when Beales closed down. I also liked Burtons clothes shop as well and that’s gone as well. Cheers for watching

Thanks for that Andy. We made it over from Canada and we are going to head for the farmer’s market today (Oct. 8). I will look for the stained glass in the Halifax. We’re flying back home on Thursday and today is the last opportunity we’ll have for a good explore. Cheers!!

@@andrewwardmedia we have been quite lucky with the rain so far. Of course, one never comes to England for the weather. 😉😁

The stained glass windows in the Halifax Building Society are listed, they are not allowed to remove them. St Neots was once a small part of the parish of Eynesbury. The bones of Cornish Saint St Neot arrived and were kept in the priory (now Waitrose car park). Pilgrims came from afar to worship the consecrated (blessed) bones of St Neot. They needed to be fed and watered so the market square developed. Temporary buildings there became permanent as the pilgrims kept coming and St Neots thrived and grew. It is now the largest market town in Cambridgeshire.
