St. Patrick's Day Theme mandala dot art | Step by step tutorial REAL TIME!

Hello Friends! Welcome to another art session with me! inspired by the upcoming holiday of St. Patrick's Day, I wanted to create something that can have some new designs incorporated and also touch base on creating the three dimensional pinwheel design. In this tutorial you will learn both!

In this step by step tutorial we will be creating a 12 inch mandala , understanding how to make a three dimensional pinwheel design into a rainbow of colors. Creating other design elements from just using your dotting tools, and having fun doing it!

-Primary Red, Bright orange, Cadmium Yellow, Festive Green, Ocean Blue, Purple Pizzazz, Warm White, Celery Green, Avocado, Hauser Dark Green, Macha Green, Dazzling Metallic Splendid Gold)
Mica Color homemade paints: Grass Green and Blackish Green.(If you do not have these you can always substitute by using other metallic greens, dazzling festive metallic green is a great choice, and mixing some with black pearl metallic to make a darker tone would work great too) (Mica Colors for purchase:

I have an old compass exactly like the one u have…it looks like an antique! It was my dads….its around 50 years old at least.😁

That's really cool and sounds very sentimental. I think mine was my husband's grandfather's, he was an artist too. Unfortunately I never got the chance to meet him. I have a lot of old brushes that I marvel at. 🤗
