It's difficult to do Otis Redding any justice when covering his songs. These guys pull it off perfectly. Beautiful.

Of course this is an impressive performance, but I think this guy is trying too hard to sound like Otis. I think Otis would be much more interested in people taking his music in a new direction with fresh styles.

Hang on, now. Some terrific voices have done terrific things with this track. Ike & Tina. Etta James. Hell, Seal wasn't bad, either. Martina McBride, I only just today discovered, through the power of the Tubes, did a magnificent cover and who could have thunk it?

While I never called him a copy cat or a fake, I did say in response to someone's post that..."finally someone is worthy of singing his (Otis) songs"....that this is more of a homage to than an original take on this song. Regardless, def respect your thought and opinion. I very much enjoyed this video and performance.

Paul is such a throwback virtuoso ala Otis, Sam, Marvin, Stevie. Just incredible commitment heart soul and body to every single note he belts out. Give me full chills every time I see him live. This band is a treasure.

I thank my amazing Dad for giving me his awesome taste in music and movies. Had he not shown me them performing on the Bluegrass Underground concert on PBS I never would have been introduced to this amazing band and the incomparable Paul Janeway! I had to pick my jaw up off the floor after seeing them perform Broken Bones and Pocket Change down in that seriously awesome cave concert!❤🙌🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

just discovered this band a few min's ago (watching re-run of "Later with Jools Holland"). I thought this was a black band b/c of the singer! what a surprise when I finally looked up from what I was doing to see they (especially the singer) were white - not that color matters; great music is great music !

You are correct in the fact that St. Paul & The Broken Bones are truly amazing. But the fact remains they are a cover, someone name Otis sings that song. Look him up and other like him from around that time. Sam and Dave are also kick ass.

IS EVERYONE CRYING?! At 1:40 begins and trumpet cries then other horn guy then the last guy makes a serious cry face. I had goosebumps everywhere and a knot in my throat but I imagine being there and his voice going directly into your ear holes would make me cry too. Fuck! That’s insane. But honestly they are making the face like, “fuck that’s dirty. That’s real. That shit hurts. Ouch.”
