There was a Japanese Beta rom of "Monster Party" dumped.. its pretty neat as they had to change a lot of the bosses / enemies due to copyright concerns.. even though it was a parody title. It has the Thing, Gizmo/Stripe, it makes the flower boss into Audrey II, The pumpkin kid is actually a Ape soldier from Planet of the apes, the list goes on.

Didn't quite understand why castlevania wasn't covered, when castlevenia clones were lol. But I guess it is the most obvious. I have to come out and defend alien 3 on gameboy. It is very clunky. But it is surprisingly a fully fledged survival horror game on gameboy released before Resident Evil! I think it deserves points for that alone, it is an adventure horror game with limited inventory space were you have to save ammo, medicine and juggle key items in and out of the equipment. And it has pretty standard combat, no golf mini games here (although I don't mind those either) Overall I would say that the biggest problem with the game is having limited lives coupled with a ton of one-hit death traps puzzles. If you erase either of those mechanics, you would have a pretty sweet 8-bit survival horror game. Great video!

@@st1ka I just saw that Mr. Jones created another game on the ZX Spectrum called "Go to hell". He must have been a real sicko.

Great video as usual, some interesting stuff here. Retro horror games can surprisingly be pretty scary, in a lo-fi kinda way. Also, I think the Hell Fighter sprite is similar to Prince of Persia and Kung Fu.

The guy in Hell Fighter looks a lot like the prince from the NES Prince of Persia.

Great video! I would also recommend Dr Chaos for NES
