Really interesting video, too bad for the crappy clickbait miniature tho. Thankfully I discovered your channel through another of your video with a way better miniature and started binge watching them afterward. (I discovered that a long time ago I had previously blocked some of your videos when they appeared on my recomendation list because of their clickbait style miniatures).

I think sewer shark is one of the better fmv games. I didn't like it much as a kid cause I did not know what to do, but now I always come back to it as an adult. Night trap is horrible, you can't actually enjoy it because you have to keep clicking between rooms. You can't actually watch the scenes. They should have made it a score attack. Instead of needing to cath them all.

Wow, for once I have found a list saying "you have never heard of these games before" and its a list of random games that I actually haven't heard of instead of a bunch of indie games that I already own

Simon's Quest is my favorite NES Castlevania. Quest 64 is straight up one of my favorite games of all time. The N64 Castlevanias are awesome. When I tell people that, they call me crazy and having poor taste...they, have never even played those games. Meanwhile, garbage like Jak 2, Jedi Fallen Order or Tears of the Kingdom is praised.

I know this video predates when this fact was discovered but Nintendo did have the rights to Popeye but due to limitations they couldn't get the characters to look right so they couldn't make a Popeye game so instead they made Donkey Kong also that's Brutus not Bluto.

The reason early Macintosh Games look like this is because of system limitations. Early Mac OS accelerated certain graphic functions by running them from a system ROM, and obviously these system functions were... cursor drawing, window drawing, drag and drop, etc... so if you used the OS elements your game would go faster than if you ignored those elements and tried to code the game from scratch. Also many games did not dreamt of playing full scale because redrawing the screen was veeeery slow (unless you used the system functions)

goodboy galaxy is amazing. The puzzley aspect is a bit irritating for moments, since you can easily get lost and not find whatever item or spot you needed to progress.. i wish they gave a little bit more emphasis to shooting things. But overall it's wonderful and i like it much better than many games from back in the day

that softball fighting paper mario game for PSX is what i'd call a hidden gem. Only a few talk about it, and im definitely gonna give it a shot before i forget it exists again!

The games for the mac: you could switch between these folders with standard shortcuts ☺ - and I never realized that hypercard games were special, until I saw online games rediscovering their style years and years later ☺

I was soooo disappointed with MKA, one of the first games I had for the console, and squeezed my fun out of it, but the miraculous Deadly Alliance on the GBA really made it seem even worse. Great video as usual!

Man, I love Harmony of Despair. Used to play this on PS3 back in the day when there were still people playing it. Even got it on my Xbox Series X just because I liked it that much. No one online now though.
