Aww Gracie isn't an oddball. She just isn't afraid to tell you who she is. I love that about Arabians. They are absolutely honest about who they are.

Thanks for this one and for all your videos. Always a nice surprise when I get a notification. I might have told you this before, but my passion has always been animal behavior. I used to go to some of my sisters classes and continuing ed courses when she was in vet school at OSU, whenever that subject came up. And I’m pretty sure there are a lot of folks out there like me who feel the same way. So you can never share too many observations and explanations on horse behavior. I also thought the clips you showed of certain interactions having us guess their conversations were fascinating and very well done. Thx again!

Little Miss has her heels on point today, she’s got Mr Wilde in the chest twice for bugging her early on, around 6:56 she made him squeak & 7:12 she got him good. Gotta love Lena’s ‘I’m not moving’ stance, Gracie had to slam the anchors on pretty quick 😀

9 minutes and 30 seconds to put all 7 horses out your good! It would take me a lot longer. Stop picking on my Gracie, she is full of it and likes to paw 😂😂 I have watched this video before and I still get plenty of joy watching over and over. Do you ever ride Gracie? If so how is she when riding her? I had a friend who has horses and she stated that Arabians are stupid, I think there beautiful and very classy looking. Thanks for the education! Love all your babies 🥰🥰

I haven't ridden Gracie in a while as I was waiting for her to grow up a bit more, but here's one of my more proud videos of her riding: kzbin.info/www/bejne/mZTcd6quh8mVpa8 I wouldn't worry about anybody calling any horse stupid. Their opinion doesn't matter :)

@angelatracy74182 жыл бұрын
I love the horses that seek out the human, my favorite horses are those that seek us out. It's so much easier to bond with them. Lena sems to enjoy very healthy relationships within her herd. Is it uncommon that a horse prefers their human? I have worked with one horse that absolutely prefers her humans. She is the lead mare and runs all the other horses off...preferring to interact with me. Sometimes I feel sorry for her that she will not bond or co-groom with another horse,,,She was separated from an adopted Mother before the age of 2 and has not accepted any horse as her friend. No play, no co-grooming, etc. Is this healthy? Is there any way to encourage friendships between horses?
@StableHorseTraining2 жыл бұрын
No, it's not healthy that other horses won't accept her. Kind of like Gracie actually, only Lena so far will cogroom with her regularly. I find sometimes being an intermediate in the middle kind of presence helps. Allowing the horse into the herd by telling the other horses not to tell that horse to leave. That kind of stuff.
@martineinfrance2 жыл бұрын
Thank you 👍 Gracie will never grow up in her mind, she is unique 😀 is this in purpose that you lead the boys far from the back, at the front gate, so they all enter by the main entrance ? I wonder how Joka was or would be with her own kind, because Icelandic love to be with Icelandic.. She is a sweety 😍

Hi Graeme and all horses! (Possibly silly) Question- If you ever go away for a day/weekend/vacation etc...do the horses notice you've been gone? Do they seem to miss you when you get back like "Hey our food & scritches guy is back in the herd!" Maybe more drawing to you for attention? Just curious if they're similar to a dog missing their owner. Thanks!🐴🤠 Have great day!

Yep......and I'm late to the party! I'm playing catch up! Lol I know we've talked about this before but do you have a preferred "order of release" into the arena or is just whoever is waiting patiently gets released first?
@StableHorseTraining2 жыл бұрын
No preferred order at this time. Sometimes if Gracie looks or feels particularly antsy then I'll put her out first, but she's pretty much the only one I accommodate.

Hi it's April 23 2022 l when I'm writing this. Seems like youu have some new horses there on other newer videos. Can you please introduce us to them and give us a update on what your up to. I notice miss wildie is missing and she's a favorite. Are you keeping the girls in heat separate right now like another site I watch does? Just that we get attached to them and hope they are still around and what is up with them. Can you do a video again walking around telling about your current horses and about horses that went to their home or a new home. Hope all is well there. Don't be discouraged by the criticism of a few. You are so good to and with the horses. Thanks for your reports

Hm. Given the huge supply of commentary on uncastrated stallions and castrating stallions, is there an equivalent procedure to sterilize mares?
@StableHorseTraining2 жыл бұрын
There is, but it's quite involved and expensive. Gelding a male is much cheaper and far easier.
