Led Zeppelin are very hot on copyright enforcement.... I think only band that is worse are The Eagles! I think you're way round it though is to pause and make comments during the performance.. if it is not continuous and you add something of value to it, then you're OK. I've seen other "reaction" channels apologise for the pauses, but say they have to do it. Good luck anyway, i love your reviews so far. ❤

The Guitar the Jimmy Page is playing is a Gibson double neck, it has a 12 string on the top and regular 6 string on the bottom, but other configurations can be had. It is a beautiful sound, no distortion just pure clean sounds! Robert Plant is an amazing singer and always has been as is Jimmy Page an amazing guitarist. Let’s not forget John Bonham (RIP) the drummer and John Paul Jones on bass / keys. This song is absolutely iconic, an absolute masterpiece! However the intro does have the reputation of being one of the ‘forbidden riffs’ in guitar shops mostly down to how badly it is often played 😂. You need to read the lyrics to understand the song, it has plenty of meaning! If you think this song is ‘sassy’ then Whole lotta love will give your expectations a treat 😂

A band of four virtuosos. Their improvisation skills were sublime. It was said they never played a song the same way twice in live shows. They disbanded when their drummer John Bonham died in 1980. During the calmer, more mellow beginning of the song, Jimmy Page strummed chords on the 12-string. Then, when they blew the lid off, during the guitar solo, Page switched to the 6-string lead to play that chain of brain-melting riffs. 😊 The fact that Page had two instruments in one meant he could switch seamlessly between sounds.

Stairway To Heaven There's a lady who's sure all that glitters is gold And she's buying a stairway to Heaven When she gets there she knows, if the stores are all closed With a word she can get what she came for Ooh, ooh, and she's buying a stairway to Heaven There's a sign on the wall, but she wants to be sure 'Cause you know sometimes words have two meanings In a tree by the brook, there's a songbird who sings Sometimes all of our thoughts are misgiven Ooh, it makes me wonder Ooh, makes me wonder There's a feeling I get when I look to the West And my spirit is crying for leaving In my thoughts I have seen rings of smoke through the trees And the voices of those who stand looking Ooh, it makes me wonder Ooh, really makes me wonder And it's whispered that soon if we all call the tune Then the piper will lead us to reason And a new day will dawn for those who stand long And the forests will echo with laughter Oh-oh-oh-oh-whoa If there's a bustle in your hedgerow, don't be alarmed now It's just a spring clean for the May queen Yes, there are two paths you can go by, but in the long run There's still time to change the road you're on And it makes me wonder Ohh, whoa Your head is humming, and it won't go, in case you don't know The piper's calling you to join him Dear lady, can you hear the wind blow? And did you know Your stairway lies on the whispering wind? And as we wind on down the road Our shadows taller than our soul There walks a lady we all know Who shines white light and wants to show How everything still turns to gold And if you listen very hard The tune will come to you at last When all are one, and one is all To be a rock and not to roll And she's buying a stairway to Heaven Composers: Jimmy Page / Robert Anthony Plant

Check out Aleister Crowley and his influence on Zeppelin, the Stones, and even the Beatles. Stacey, you keep coming back to “sexy,” and you nailed it. And yes, Plant’s pants were purposeful-the question there was whether that look was real. 100 Zeppelin songs. 99% are sex. Try “Whole Lotta Love,” “The Lemon Song,” and . . . Stacy, I just came across your channel for the first time today. I am very impressed with your insights to the music. Your ‘Stairway’ reaction is about the fifth or sixth video of yours I have watched this morning. I have one bit of advice I would like to offer. With very few exceptions, the purest way to be introduced to a song is the way we were originally. By the album cut. In the 70’s, we would buy the album, take it home and listen to it first to last. Each song, in its purest form. No distractions from crowds. Just the music. Usually with our headphones on with the volume cranked up. Then, when we went to the concerts we go the enhanced versions. Even today, I mostly prefer the album cuts over a live version (I did enjoy the Phil Collin’s ’In the air Tonight’ video). Also, check out the softer side of the ‘70’s. Player, ‘Baby come back’. Anything by The Carpenters. Exile, ‘Kiss you all over’. Are just a few. Keep up the great work.

The original album versions are usually better because they’re longer and they’re what the artist wanted. Radio stations prefer songs that are 3 to 3 1/2 minutes max so you have radio edits for the single 45 versions. No auto tune, no click track, just 3 monster musicians that are masters of their craft and a singer that can sing. Sound reinforcement on stage in the early 70s was not close to what it is today. I'll bet money that Robert Plant could barely hear himself on stage and yet still was able to sing in tune. I read an article one time where a classical music composer dissected this song and basically said it's perfect....it couldn't be improved upon. Growing up in the 70s, this song was everywhere. It played on the radio so much we actually grew tired of hearing it over time, as brilliant as the song is. This was the second or third song I learned to play on the guitar and I'm not alone there. Seeing you hear this for the first time brought me back to when I heard it for the first time.

If you noticed in the beginning and the very end of the Stairway to heaven song, Jimmy Page was using the upper 12 string neck. And that's because he is using the finger picking technique untilizing the tips of his nails on each of his fingers on his right hand. Using this finger picking technique makes the guitar sound more soft, calm and pretty only twice as much as just using the 6 string neck. The 12 string neck is also used for strumming the chords when not finger picking. Now when it comes to using the lower 6 string neck, it is mainly used in this case for the lead solo riffs like you heard Jimmy go off on in the middle of the song for over 3 minutes or so. It's not to say that a guitar player cannot do any finger picking or strumming on the 6 string neck. A guitar player has the option of using either if she or he chooses to. But more than likely if a guitar player is using a double neck guitar, she or he was planning to use this type of guitar in that manner for this masterpiece of a song that stood the test of time, being that it was written in the early 70's. I hope I explained it for you in such a way to help you understand this much easier. I'm kinda buzzin right now and drinking my Budweiser and playing my own Ovation guitar. Just taking a break right now to watch your show. I been in the business for over 40 years and trust me, your doing a great job. Good luck and keep up the good work in your reaction videos.

@@lyndoncmp5751 I'm the opposite, I know how.much influence Jimmy Page had on guitar with the first 2 albums, that is my favorite Zeppelin era as I saw it unfold in real time, all my guitarist friends sweared by early Zep.

This is a deep rabbit hole you've started here. I can honestly say they have about 75-80 songs that are totally worth reacting to. Just about anywhere you go from here is going to be fine. They have so many different types of styles in their songs; blues, hard rock, acoustic guitar, and even a country-ish song (Down by the Seaside). From this live concert which is from Madison Square Garden in 1973, there are so many great songs. Here is the track list. Just pick any of them or go in the order of the album. Can't miss. 1] Rock and Roll 2] Celebration Day 3] Black Dog 4] Over the Hills and Far Away 5] Misty Mountain Hop 6] Since I've Been Loving You 7] No Quarter 8] The Song Remains the Same/9] The Rain Song 10] The Ocean 11] Dazed and Confused (be warned. this is a 30 minute song) 12] Stairway to Heaven 13] Moby Dick (big long drum solo) 14] Heartbreaker 15] Whole Lotta Love

Great Reaction! Love seeing new generations introduced to the music and bands we grew up with. Next up, "Since ive been loving you-live" (sexy), "Immigrant Song", "Whole Lotta love" (many babies were made to this one), "Ramble on" (shows versatility), just to get started. So much more. You will fall for Robert Plant the singer and recognize the greatness of Jimmy Page on guitar as well as how talented these 4 guys were. Dont Stop! Enjoy!

"Stairway to Heaven"....There is nothing better than the studio version of this song. It made the top 5 on year end polls for decades. It was the most requested song in history as of 2005. (Except for Happy Birthday according to Casey Kasem).

IMHO, Zeppelin is the greatest R&R band to ever exist, and likely ever will. There were no weak members, and they always strived for excellence and innovation. They produced across most genres (metal, pop, jazz, country, folk, etc.). This happens to be my favorite rendition of Stairway, but the studio version should be heard for its "cleanness". Nobody commanded a stage like they did. There songbook is just an ongoing collection of awesome. Whole Lotta Love, Thank You, Nobody's Fault But Mine, Gallow's Pole, When The Levee Breaks, All of My Love, and on and on. A few years ago, a reporter asked the lead singer, Robert Plant, "If young people coming up in the business want to emulate Zeppelin, what advice would you give?" His answer? "Dress to the left." Those pants made the ladies lose their sh*t. The GOAT.

To see a generation smiling in enjoyment decades after they broke proves the music is timeless. Funny thing, Great Van Fleet refuses to acknowledge the Led Zeppelin influence, but its undeniable.

Jimmy Page is playing a Gibson EDS-1275 double neck guitar. The 12 string neck of the guitar adds a depth and fullness to the strumming sound while the 6 string neck is better for soloing. ✌️

I really enjoyed your reaction and learning about the band. Certainly I would feel that they can compete with anything we have now. Too bad about the death of the drummer and their breakup so early in their progress. I was fortunate enough to see them 5 times total, including 3 of the 5 total shows held at Earl's Court in London, England, May 1975. There is a video out of that concert, with Stairway to Heaven, that is an alternate to this one, with 33 million views. This 1975 video is what they played at the time: 3 hours. The 3 shows I saw were on consecutive days, so that was 9 hours of Led Zeppelin total in 3 days!! "Stairway to Heaven" was probably the best place to start a Zep journey. As a long time fan, however, I would recommend a slightly different video, if you really want to appreciate the success of the band. The video I would recommend is "Led Zeppelin - Dazed and Confused (London 1969 Live Good Quality)", currently with 3.9 million views, uploaded at "Metalrocker077". Don't rush, but if you could review that one in a month or two it would be a great experience for you. 😘

As I'm sure lots of people have already told you, this song is a masterpiece. It's worth listening to the studio version too. It really lets you analyze how intricately put together it is. Your lack of musical knowledge is a benefit, it means that you don't come to these songs with any preconceived ideas, you're not overly critical like some KZbinrs. A wonderful reaction. Well done.

Robert Plant was a very sexual singer. He dressed the part, to be sure, but a lot was in those gestures you and many others mention. He does use his hands expressively. Plant also smiled a lot at a time when many singers were trying to be too cool. It looked like he was having fun. Those smiles, sometimes almost coy, often targeted ladies in the audience. He most definitely knew he had sex appeal and used it. You need a lot of self-confidence to do what he did and there was never any shortage of that, as you see by those jeans. Plant was also quite chatty between songs, comments made in the moment that helped make every concert unique to the night. I saw one 1970s band that had their onstage banters scripted to the last word. In old age Plant has not tried to be Kiss and remain locked to a past image. The hair is still long, It is no longer a mane but worn in an age appropriate pony tail. There is a beard that does not hide the deep lines in his face. The shirt is now done up and the trousers a much more comfortable fit. The onstage chat remains the same or maybe more. He likes to set the scene for the songs. The voice no longer has the full range of the 20 something but still distinctly Plant in tone. His song choices fit the reality of where his voice is. He has in recent years made music with bluegrass queen Alison Krauss. Plant is ageing gracefully

That, Milady, is a Gibson EDS 1275 guitar. The top neck is a 12 string, with 6 regular guitar strings and 6 higher octave strings and the lower neck is a regular 6 string guitar. The twelve string gives a very distinctive sound. I do own one myself. Its definitely a conversation starter wherever i carry it. As always Led Zeppelin are the most Iconic rock bands in the History of music. 👍👍👍

That "sexy" guitar solo is probably one of the most well-known in rock and roll history. I'd say it's only comparable to Lynyrd Skynyrd's "Free Bird"...which I highly suggest you watch. The Oakland 1977 live performance, of course.
