Really like the matte black finish of this version. I have the silver one and been using it daily fir almost a month for drawing. It’s super comfy and makes nice sooosh sound. I use it along my set of Mitsubishi uni lead holders. 😊

I love these black versions of the _Staedtler 925 25 / 35_ . Too bad they don't have the 1.3mm version in black like they offer in silver. Did you find out anything on the blue tint your "black" _925 35 03B_ has? The pencil sadly doesn't look as great as on your 2mm pencil or your 5mm pencil (different cideo) and I fear if I import them from Japan I will be disappointed. Returning them will not be worth the effort if possible at all. Also I think the weight increase of the 2mm from the other ones is mainly due to the brass cartridge instead of plastic, not the increased clutch size.
@fanofpencils-cleo774 Жыл бұрын
The 0.3mm does has a blue tint but you have to pay attention and compared it to other pencils to pick it out. Though if you are already aware of it, I think you shouldn’t order it. There are other black pencils on the markets, look around a bit before making decisions:) And thank you for the 1.3mm info.! I don’t know that it doesn’t have black version sadly. You are right! The higher weight of the 2.0mm pencil should be the combination of everything, the big lead can also add up the weight as well.

Always so nice to see a quality 2mm lead mechanical pencil. You cannot beat the versatility of being able to sharpen the lead and using it just like a sharpened pencil, or forgo sharpening and have a very wide bold trace. I bet pencil art specialists love it. I'm a much simpler creature, I only use 2mm to write in VERY big letters 😅 Speaking of sharpening, does this Staedtler include any way go sharpen the lead? Or should you get a separate sharpener? 4:41 Since no one mentioned it, the best word for this advance mechanism is "gradual", since you only advance one little bit at a time. You probably knew this by now, but eh, might as well.
@fanofpencils-cleo7747 ай бұрын
Ja, unfortunately, we have to equip ourselves with separated sharpener or a knife …. Or sanding paper 😅 since the pencil doesn’t include any sharpener under the cap. Yes, gradually advancing sounds good 👌. Thank you! 😊

I liked your other videos, but I do not use 2.0mm pencils, only 0.5 and 0.7 mm. Are you from Japan? Or Singapore/HongKong? Thanks.
@DinnerForkTongue7 ай бұрын
Cleo mentioned once that she is from a humid tropical country, so I don't think she is Japanese. I too use mostly 0.5 and 0.7, but I fell for 0.9 recently. When the point is dull enough it writes almost like a brush and I love that.

Hi Cleo, I love your channel because I too am a fan of pencils 😅.. I was wondering have you tried the Steadtler Remedy mechanical pencil? I want to know how a thin sleeve drafting pencil would feel different from a broad sleeve drawing pencil...
@fanofpencils-cleo774 Жыл бұрын
Hi Jobin, Thank you for your nice comment! 😊 I haven’t tried Staedtler Remedy, I googled and learn that it has a thick body. I also have a few thick body pencils. At first, I didn’t think I will like them but actually you need to try the right one to know. I am into the Pilot Delful which also has a thick body and very nice weight (I have a video of it in my channel in case you are curious). However, one other thick one named Pilot Dr.Grip Ace with a little thicker body seems doesn’t fit my hand at all. The thickness of pencil body can save your hand from fatigue after long-time usage. Anyway, I think the key specs I want from a mech pencil are: - sturdiness - no rattles - good balancing point

@@fanofpencils-cleo774 Hi Cleo, actually I just got the Steadtler Remedy, I'm using it and like how it feels in the hand. I got into mechanical pencils because of the Pentel Graphgear 500, I fell in love with that pencil instantly.. but after using it for a couple of years I learnt that because it is a bit tip heavy I feel it's a bit cumbersome on my hand when using for longer drawing sessions, as this pencil is more useful for stencil drawing and drafting. Also, like your Steadtler 925, I also dropped my graphgear 500 and managed to bend the sleeve.. I tried to fix it again but still dont like it when i see the tip crooked sometimes, that's why I thought of going for a lightweight pencil and a different type of lead sleeve, the Steadtler Remedy also has a rectractable sleeve!! but plastic clutches 😝 despite having a thick body the pencil is center balanced and lightweight.. very comfortable in my hands. the best part is it's made in Japan 😇
