No need, not yet, I still have a stock turbo. I will upgrade my charge pipe when so eventually get an upgraded turbo and will need the extra reinforcement.

You have to upgrade the charge pipe too much power will cause certain parts to overheat causing it to blow trust me I know .plastic charge pipe will not be durable to properly withstand the power eventually blowing sooner or later

Your turbo has nothing to do with replacing the charge pipe stage 2 produces to much power to keep a stock charge pipe I’m an automotive technician so thank me later

Stock chargepipe was upgraded from the N54 which was a weak spot on it. They got it right with thr B58 not needed until 650-700 tbh.

@@quae706B58’s charge pipe design was changed so that it allowed it to flex when under load which was a huge problem on the N54 and also the N55. It’s not so much the boost but how the engine would inherently rock under heavy acceleration especially when making more power which caused it to crack in the same area near the throttle body as everyone knows because the charge pipe couldn’t move with then engine. But boost pressure does also have a factor on factory plastic components so it wouldn’t hurt to swap it out for an upgraded one! Just not very common on the B58 since BMW realized this and changed it.
