As a survivor of a narcissist, this could’ve been our theme song. I think once I went No Contact and heard this song again, this song showed me how toxic we were…he was. I always waited for the next explosion, drama, etc. hoping for the love-bombing to start the cycle again. It was exhausting. This song still resonates and brings the tears. Now, Aaron’s newest Patriot anthem brings tears.Truly powerful messages.

As a kid I thought Staind was just cool rock music that my dad listened to. Now as an adult knowing all the shit my dad went through it hits deep. And myself going through hard times now makes it cut even deeper.

Amazing song. I can't help but feel that the song is about Trauma-bond and the person may be suffering from narcissistic abuse.

I remember when I was a kid I couldn’t go to a Staind concert with my parents because it was an 18+ show. They had back stage passes and got to hang out with the band, eat pizza with them, drink beer with them, and even came home with like 5 signed posters for me. It’s was bittersweet. I didn’t understand the music anywhere near as much as I do now at 27 years old… but this song is literally like my anthem at the moment. I swear it literally feels like they went into the future, reached into my now soul, and wrote this song about how I personally feel. It’s insane. One of the most underrated bands/artists of all time.

Thanks for the great music at a very down time in my life and getting me through some of my darkest moments 18+ years ago.. funny enough I had a person that was there for me in that period and took it for granted and am just now realizing it all these years later even though we went our separate ways. We used to listen to this song together all the time. Time is a thief! Much love❤️

I've always loved jamming Staind as a young kid. But now that I been through some painful relationships and heard this song again, it hurt like a mfr and hit home. How great of a band Staind has been and underrated they are is insane. But their music still hits now just as anytime !!! Thank you Aaron Lewis for such a timeless song.

Nobody has ever once talked about the drumline being constistant with rhythm and lyric. Its an incomplete medley and leaves us expecting more
