Stake out is one of my favorite perks. Stake out and autodidact is my favorite combo since it saves the stacks for gens or self healing.

I like Stake Out with Diversion, to build up both at the same time and allow you a chance to distract the killer away from you when youre done farming stacks and want to get back to a gen.

Stakeout Fogwise Built to last and Diversion with a juicy repair toolbox with extra charges is my favorite build lately.the diversion gives you a slightly better range of awareness, get off the gen into a bush, start building the stakeout stacks, then toss the pebble and follow the killer that way to keep getting stacks then burn them all and each stack triggers fogwise, and if the killer is headed your way but the gen is close, finish it with the toolbox. Its pretty great for solo queue

Stake Out is highly underrated imo. Glad to see it make the Value series. Gives you extra points and speed to actions for minimal effort (being in terror radius and hitting normal skill checks). Has great synergy with a lot of other perks as mentioned in other comments…solid perk. Not flashiest perk but getting those sweet stacks is dopamine 🤷‍♂️

autodidact must have a clause that reduces chances of skill checks. I played 10 matches 5 with autodidact and 5 without and i got on avg 2-3 skills check per healing a single survivor without autodidact and in a single game i am lucky if i get 3 skills checks the entire game with autodidact.
