I should insist that any Stalker use a VZ58 variant with a chrome lined barrel, as most of the ammo in the zone is old corrosive surplus.

And also carry some 10 round stripper clips, the same ones that the SKS use, to top the magazine off without removing it. This is one feature an AK doesn't have, and it can be useful when either you emptied all your mags, or want to save them for when you REALLY need them. Don't try to top it off to full 30 rounds, specially under stress, it will take you forever.

Cardio isn't the entire picture, I've had two of those gp5 gas masks and I can tell you they're incredibly fatiguing with a filter on them. Much more stress on your diaphragm, and the typical 40mm civilian issue filters that come with those masks are usually expired by 20-30 years at least which raises safety concerns ontop of the fact that they're only rated for 5 minutes of NBC protection without being expired.

This is the best video! I don't even like Stalker novel/games that much, but the pandemic made me appreciate personal protective equipment in ways that could not even imagine before. However, I always wondered about how it's like to use a gas mask in any kind of combat scenario, and never in a million years would I think that something like a scratch on a lens can be such a decisive factor.
