Timestamps:
1. (0:01:20) - Witness a little boy expresses his gratitude to the King's Guard
2. (0:05:07) - A lady unknowingly annoys the majestic horse. The vigilant Horseman intervenes, reminding her of proper etiquette.
3. (0:05:55) - The tension escalates when the Female King's Guard raises her voice, warning the tourists to stand clear. Two police officers rush to her aid, protecting her from further disturbance.
4. (0:06:26) - Another King's Guard appears at the gates. He loudly shouted "MAKE WAY TO THE KING'S LIFE GUARD".
5. (0:07:28) - The Horseman's attention is drawn again to the persistent lady, as her antics continue to bother his majestic horse.
Apologies for any camera movements, as I'm still working on refining my techniques. I am a U.S. Marine veteran and part of me wants to have little cards printed up that say "These riders are NOT actors. They are trained soldiers performing a duty. Please show them and their horses the Respect They Deserve" and then spend a day or two just handing them out to the tourists.

So cute 🥰 where I live in northern England children still wave when a train passes, waiting to cross and on the train. I’ll wave back 😂 I used to teach so I don’t mind looking a bit crazy 😂 I do it on the bus too, so many toddlers and small children wave and blow kisses as they’re getting off the bus 😂 In my family we all share child care, when it’s my turn to take them to school we all say good morning to anyone we pass, particularly elderly people. They always say it was as the children chorus ‘good morning’ but when they’re with the others they don’t…very strange to me. Maybe it’s because I used to teach, no matter how much I want to sit on the bus and just read the news or something I make myself put a smile on my face, greet people and since I’m often sat in the front disabled area I’m often surrounded by elderly people. I make myself chat, I’ve been told so often that I was the only person they chatted to in days. They might have said good morning to a post person or something, but not an actual chat. I’m not into cafes, I have loads of allergies abd it bugs me paying for just black coffee, but I’ve had a drink with loads of random people. If anyone is out an about take the time to speak to people, compliment the colour of their coat or say it looks a lovely cosy coat. It doesn’t take much effort, we could all be incredibly lonely at some point in our lives.

Just curious, the constant head throwing up in the air seems a reaction from too much pressure crowding horse’s face or body. I’ve wondered why there isn’t a reading placard stand explaining basic body language of horse irritation: AKA behavior science. The help would benefit guard, working horses, tourists and policemen. For many of the tourists it’s simply lack of being around horses and holds a fascination getting to be that close to a horse.

Well! In my opinion the police didn’t rush “very fast at all!”….Honestly those poor horses and guards! People totally ignore the signs warning the horses might bite, it’s about time people were kept back…it’s not fair! They can still get good enough photos further away. It makes me angry the amount of stress these animals go through, they get bored, even though trained to stand still for so long, and are quite young I think, so lots of noise, arms waving, people patting and pawing them…must give their riders needing a Valium after their time on duty is over! Why can’t they shout stand clear of the Kings horses? It’s such a shame.

I’ll get in here first & answer a question that’s bound to get asked “why don’t they but up a chain or rope barrier to keep the public from interacting with the horse?” I’ll give you two reasons not to, one at times the horses act up causing them to move forward out & around onto the pavement not always fully in control so they could become entangled in the barrier possibly causing injury to itself, the rider & the public, the pavement is also a public right of way.
@annbeirne9583
@annbeirne9583 7 ай бұрын
Public right of way is no excuse, they soon find other reasons to put up barriers like when they had the London marathon, the horses and guards should be the main concern, the threat to them of attack by nut jobs and terrorists should be taken very seriously besides there is a large pavement on the other side of the road, heaven forbid people should have to cross the road. With the escalation of wars in the world and the hatred for Britain and its people on the whole! We should be more careful lets face it there have been some very odd people hanging about the horses and guards recently, mostly drunk or drugged up to the eyeballs. What if they had put their hand under the horses neck and drew a knife across it, the guard wouldn't be able to see it, and lets face it the people filming wouldn't point it out until it is too late, would like to feel that the powers that be are concerned about the men, women and horses but it seems they keep bowing to this ridiculous idea of public right of way. Lets face it, it all comes down to money no other reason, and as I have said many times before other countries wouldn't be so soft and mamby pamby. People keep writing about the disrespect shown well if they were treated as a military establishment under the official secrets act this wouldn't never be allowed.

The Kings guards and Kings horses are on duty. So no barriers can be put up. Even if a sign was put up to stay clear of the guards and horses. No one would read it just like they don't read the one that is already there. Shame the Kings guards can't charge at them.

The Police did not rush to her aid! The Guard had it all under control. You are doing a good job, but I feel your over-dramatic written comments are a bit over the top. There is no need to go over the top with the click-bait titles either.

They need to paint boxes around the front of the Guard/Horse where inconsiderate tourists and jerks are not allowed to pass. These are active serving troops and highly trained horses. They don't deserve to be treated with such disrespect. If I as an American can make such an observation, I'm sure the way these soldiers and their horses are often treated (by tourists, certainly including my fellow Americans), it must chap many English seeing such disrespect. For such poor behavior from many of my fellow Americans, my apologies.🇬🇧🇺🇸

3:17 love the horse pushing the two girls away twice. Youd think people would take note but no they didn't. 5:30 girl in the wooly hat kept touching. The horse in the right box. The left hand box more people today turned left towards Westminster than towards Trafalgar. Hence the crush around the horse

It is time the tourist were kept well away from the guards and horses you can see how it affects the horses makes them fidgety and no doubt does the same to the guards. They must have the patience of jobe to put up with those ignorant people all day everyday.

When the tourists stop coming and bringing their money, the monarchy will be finished and most commenters here will be relieved. No more annoying the poor helpless guards and their long suffering horses. How dare people be attracted by these beautiful sentient creatures and want to connect? It is such a wickedness to feel so entitled to interact with the property of the king. That is all these horses are after all, just somebody's property to do with as they please, isn't it?

It is crucial to avoid making generalizations about tourists. The majority of them demonstrate a genuine enthusiasm for the United Kingdom and conduct themselves respectfully. Furthermore, their contributions to the UK economy are substantial. In London alone, the tourism industry supports approximately one in seven jobs and accounts for nearly 12% of the city's economic output. According to London.gov.uk, tourism plays a vital role in sustaining various sectors of London's economy, including hospitality, retail, and the creative industries.

Many of the horses like to play with their bits. It doesn't mean that they are "mad" at them. No offence, but I'm sure that both the Household Cavalrymen and women, and the on-site vet understand the horses needs and their comfort, much better than any armchair "expert."

You are thinking of the Royal Horse artillery who filled in while HCAV went on 2 weeks vacation. There are many lady guards in the Blues and Royals and a few in the Lifeguards. Blues and Royals wear the dark uniforms with red plumes. Lifeguards wear the red uniforms with white plumes. There are also a lot of females in the Royal Horse artillery.
