Thank you so much for this video. I started out making candles about 2 years ago from a candle kit I brought from Amazon. The kit was easy to follow and the instructions manual came with color pics. I now have stopped making candles for a while now because of fragrance not really releasing, the wick moving from the center when I poured the hot wax and the holes and uneven wax with the finished product. The manual never explained half of what you just said. I am actually excited again to make candle again. Thank you for your insight, tips, and knowledge; I appreciate you 🙏.

I'm sure you've figured it out now but I clean as much wax out as possible, either by melting the wax down and pouring on a piece of wood I use in my fireplace, or. Put it in just enough hot water that it melts the wax down and wipe with a paper towel. After that, you can soak in the sink amd clean OR you can just wiped down where the wick will go and reuse the jar. I reuse mine about 4 times. Keep in mind that the glass may lose its integrity after each use so be extremely careful.

The video where I add the oils at 110° is only a test method. It’s definitely not a method I would recommend for most people I only made that to see what I could do with soy and different temperatures. As for the oil percentage are used to add 11% a few years ago but now I add 8% and I get a much better hot throw from it.
