I sure wouldn't blame the manager for Stanley being screwed up. He didn't have much of a choice let alone a feeling of sympothy for that jackass of a steam engine. Just like Albert, Stanley just gave him too much to handle. If any one of us today were in the same position as the manager is, I don't think we would've behaved any differently in terms of engines who brag OR think too much of themselves instead of others.

Smudger was Stanley's TV series analog. Likely as budget constraints didn't allow them to make a model of the Class 10-12-D(Stanley's basis), and by the time the narrow gauge engines made their debut on T&F they were already deviating quite a bit from the RWS.

Eliot Reader Albert's failure was a personality/attitude issue, Stanley was poorly built. his kind of locomotive was likely to have been built not far off of a battlefield

@@imhungry3446 i have several books about the narrow gauge railways used during WW1 and the engines that Stanley is based on appears a lot in them from what i understand several of them became derailed in a similar way to how he jumpted the track on the Mid Sodor railway
