It's easy to see where Boris gets his irresponsible attitude from. Watching his father trying to casually sweep the issue under the carpet just says that he really doesn't get it and sees it as some kind of personal vendetta against him and his family.
@jasonbevis63912 жыл бұрын
I wonder if you have children, what father in there right mind is going to go on a chat show and not defend him. Or his daughter for that matter. Boris does things without thinking and instinctively that gets himself in trouble, he says things that he thinks people want to hear that are sometimes wide of the truth, but I don't belive for one minute he does not care or he is not trying to please everybody. In fact its his "trying to please everybody" thats his downfall, asking his father to come on and bash him is a disgusting thing to do.

Dear Piers, I know that is unlikely that you will read my comment personally but that you have a dedicated person who responds if you decide to respond but here I am a Former Yugoslavia born, travel to Greece to escape various traumas and obstacles where I met the father of my firstborn, an English/Irish man for whom I left everything and moved here to London in 2000 and through the proper legal process called Entry Clearance, never before putting a step on this country’s soil, ended up in a Woman’s Refuge, doing a degree in psychology, again ending up in a DV situation, becoming a British citizen, doing lots for my community in Ladbroke Grove, even got behind a mayoral candidate Lee Harris for CISTA, during which process my neighbour David Cameron stick everyone up……when he decided to involve pharmaceutical companies to handle this country’s medical cannabis handling, here I am writing to you to say THANK YOU! It’s beyond me that this old man can be so patronising and arrogant at the time when our country is going through a huge turmoil: BREXIT, issues regarding the Royal Family, austerity, COVID, LYES, LYSE, LYES…..cancellations, Boris Johnson’s relentless insults not only to British people but the Queen. Please just stay as you are but make clear when you give an option and when you are presenting facts. You are very influential amongst people from different walks of life and you can truly educate many that needs to be educated. You see I don’t mind different opinions but how they are presented. Sorry, I’m writing this fast as my kids are interrupting me and asking for dinner but I truly struggle with Amber Heard and her continuous attempts to gaslighting the world, carry on lying, insulting the legal process, the jury, the judge Peggy who I’m absolutely impressed in terms of how impartial she was during those gruelling moments where so many lies were told and she even had a go at that amazing court stenographer Judy! I simply can’t understand how on earth is she given a platform to do these things, to keep saying all those things lye blatantly? I’m a psychologist, I speak 4 languages and yet I’m being insulted and patronising by his woman and all those who are telling me an almighty 50 years grown up woman, mother of 2 who grow up with DV and survived to relationships, diagnosed with PTSD and still recovering THAT AMBER HEARD EVIDENCE MATCH HER STORY! THERE ARE SO MANY OF US DV SURVIVORS WHO ARE LIKE ME SERIOUSLY DISTURBED BY THIS SITUATION AND WANT AMBER HEARD TO STOP TALKING CRAP, I DONT WANT HER TO REPRESENT ME, I DON’T WANT HER TO KEEP TELLING LYES AND ANY PUBLIC PLATFORM WHATSOEVER! IF A DV VICTIM FEELS RELUCTANT TO BRAKE OUT AND REPORT THEIR ABUSER IT WILL ONLY BE BECAUSE OF AMBER HEARD AND THINGS SHES BEEN STILL SAYING. Tell me what to do and how to asap send her a clear message from DV survivors community. I just started getting out after 5 years of isolation and she infuriated me so much that I must do something. I promised myself and my children that no one will ever abuse me nor that I will ever again doubt myself. Sorry again for being a bit hectic with this writing as besides my kids rushing me it’s not easy to write all this and make sure I send it. I’ll collect signatures, I’ll write a proper statement and bring together people alike but pls help me bring the common sense back and empower people to trust their own gut feelings and get courage to go against bullshit like this one AH is perpetuating. You need to listen to more of Piers' thoughts & arguments before you make a decision. Here in the UK not_every_ little thing is about one's politics like it is in the US. We still have real journalists here who keep their political opinions for the most part to themselves. If all you're after is a right wing echo chamber then go to Fox. Here we still engage in spirited debate with others who have different ideals that doesn't automatically end in a fall out. We can all learn different things from each other, what a boring world you must live in where all you want to hear is your own rhetoric repeated back at you! 🙄

Most people agree that trophy hunting is distasteful, but as a person who lives in Africa I find discussion on the topic overseas very one-dimensional. Fine, aim to stop trophy hunting, but at least consider the other issues surrounding the topic. 1. The revenue from trophy hunting funds a lot of Conservation. There are many reserves that rely on it massively to keep going. 2. A lot of people from local communities who work on these hunts rely on the work/meat to feed their families, we can't just drop them overnight without a plan. 3. They need to define trophy hunting more specifically. While canned lion hunting (where the Lion is drugged to be shot and meat is wasted) is disgusting, a huge portion of hunting is set up for overseas visitors to shoot large buck that are not endangered (in many cases overpopulated in need of culling) and the meat is either all used and eaten or given to the local communities. This is no different to buying venison in a shop - in fact it's better. In return a large pay packet is given to the farm which funds their operation for the next few months, and the hunter can take his trophy. If you outright ban the import of EVERY trophy you in turn take away revenue from these communities and cause the reserves to go broke and thus no animals are protected. Remember Conservation includes anti-poaching personnel, weapons and vehicles 24/7 which costs a lot of money. So go head, move forward on this but in a way that doesn't make things worse. You don't hear these nuances discussed, you just hear moral pandering. Get someone on for the full discussion and real solutions and draw some realistic lines, nobody wants to watch an idiot shoot an elephant just for trophy, it's gross.

What get's to me is, i am not sure if half these people who want Boris's blood for breaking the rules, haven't broke them themselves, how can anyone be sure, you can't!! I just don't buy it that most people didn't slip up here and there, or bend the rules just a tiny bit to suit themselves! It is easy to shout your mouth off about something when you know you won't ever be found out, and you got away with bending the rules, just a fraction, that's how i see it anyway, so i think it's time to live and let live!, stop wasting your time and energy on party gate!!!
