9:50 Don't be fooled. There is an enormous advantage created by keeping the face/guard of the reciprocating saw tight against the work. The guy "winning" the race is keeping his saw tight against the work and letting the blade make the cut. The other guy is just pulling the trigger and letting that saw act as a 15Lb vibrator in his hand. Anybody who has ever used a sawzall knows that.

We could see that the Diablo blade was carbide, but he didn't say a thing about describing all the blades. Were the Milwaukee and Lennox blades carbide too?

really good point Chris! as well, the only way i would buy any sort of comparison is when there are not humans operating. Its super impressive to see what diablo is doing but they are not being right by not allowing competing companies to operate against them.

the other thing that you can see is that the guy running the Diablo blade as a slight forward angle that helps to cut quicker as well.

Notice the barbell weight that is strung onto each saw to equalize the pressure?? IMHO and per my experience...it is 'in the blade'. Some become dull way faster than others and because both saws start cutting at the same rate...I bet that is what happened. Seems they are cutting thru some metal bolts in the wood, hard to tell. Whatever....my next blade purchases will definitely...for sure... be Diablo.

Diablo blades are the best. My son used them for years. Me, being old school, wouldn't change. That is until I saw how well Diablo blades cut and out lasted what I was using. Diablo is the only brand I buy now. Worth every penny.

Just curious: what is his/ your opinion on the Lennox recip. blades versus Diablo? I use Diablo for a basic rip blade on my TS, their 7-1/4 blades for general framing cuts (or something in the $10 dollar range at the box stores) but never tried the recip blades. I started using Lennox years ago for the Sawzall, as all the other brands would not last at all in nail embedded wood. Gotta box of Mil., Dew, B&D, you name it, all new ones collecting dust.

I was a little worried about installing the blade after reading a couple of reviews. But it was amazingly easy. Took about 1 minute. Works great kzbin.infoUgkxjpBI8OOeUXib_iT7UomCrQ-uauwZJ62c . Cuts easily and is perfect for pocket cuts I needed to make for replacing some old deck boards.

I've always liked Diablo's stuff. Their bi-metal reciprocating saw demo blades are exceptional. I used to cut pallets apart with them, nails and all, and they would last 10x longer than the Hitachi blades that our parts guy kept trying to sell us. It's not that Hitachi blades are bad, it's just that Diablo is better. Diablo uses better materials and that thick red finish works pretty well for reducing static friction.

In 1988, I bought a Black Friday type six piece set of Ryobi battery tools from Home Depot. The set included a circular saw, reciprocating saw, sabre saw, chain saw, a 3/8 drill and a flashlight. I used these tools to remodel an abandoned house into a store front. Several years later, I bought and remodeled a three bedroom house. I have since added a few more tools and converted to the newer style batteries. Every one of these tools still work and I still use them today.

Diablo blades are no joke, I'll never use anything else. Recently went to my local steel dealer and bought a 14' 14 gauge steel square tube in my car. that corded battery adapter is probably the smartest thing ive seen for battery operated tools. no need to buy 3 extra batters and the 4 or 5 bank charging stations when you aren't always blowing through your batters in a single work session. but at the same time when you do occasionally eat through your batteries you just plug it in instead of waiting on them to charge.

I started using Freud blades in 1980 when my sister gave me a selection of circular and table saw blades she had gotten from a salesman at her job when she told him I was a carpenter. Those blades got me hooked and have used them 99% of the time. Only time I don't is if I'm using someone else's gear! haha! Drill bits, router / shaper cutters, hole saws, etc. Money well spent in my opinion.

I have been using Diablo blades for almost 15 years. I started off with a "cheap" 7 and 1/4 blade for my circular saw. Then their cheapest blade for a 12 inch miter saw. Time and time again in both situations they outperformed blades that cost 2 and 3 times the amount. With rare exception I have yet to find or meet a contractor who doesn't agree that Diablos are some of the most badass blades out there. I've even had DeWalt reps come on the job sites and see all my black and yellow tools and ask why I have a red blades in them I say cuz they're better and they say they agree and wished their company would buy Diablo. Lol I have Diablo reciprocating saw blades, circular saw blades, hole saws Etc and even I am impressed with this video and just how unequal all other brands are to them and what was pointed out and I've learned from experience most of the time their price is middle or lower spectrum of all the other "so-called" competition and yet the quality and performance is far and beyond what the competitor's claim. 😈 I LOVE DIABLO. 👿 Keep up the great work and keep looking out for your customers we are loyal. 😀

How about Festool? Are the U.S. and the allies still at war with Nazi Germany? Then where is Festool? If our technology must suck, at least give us the best. German engineering? Or Chinese quality? Or Indian reliability and customer service all the way? I'll take the reliable quality of German engineering and never have to call customer service, please, and thanks.

Did you notice the clamping sawhorses used by several of the exhibitors? It's called the Jawhorse, by Rockwell Tool Co. I've had two of 'em for a few years and they are beasts; ruggedly built and supremely useful. Some people complain about their heavy weight, but that weight is crucial to how stable they are. You can often use a single Jawhorse for jobs that require two regular sawhorses. Worth the money.

Imagine the fun the people who build the shows have checking out and using the tools to assemble each company's booth. Now know at the end, they can sometimes get deals from the booth if the company is going back home and not to another shows/convention. That doesn't count getting swag tools for helping them out for setting their booth up and freight squared away on the load in and the load out. This was just one of many of these conventions and the non public ones you can see tools and machines that you wish were for assembly line only because their screw guns were so smooth and light weight but full of torque and speed. Working the Flute booth was one of the best and the worst because they (this was 25 years ago) had a new fiber optic meter that wasn't yet justifiable to buy for my field but would be in about 5 years but advances made sense to wait. Temptations galore tipping involving real tool tips & bits is the best..........

Good to finally see the Metabo corded/battery option on the same tool. In my shop-so I have power available-- I like to use a Makita driver, but often months pass and I don't use my tools. Battery packs? They still only last a couple of years, and I need two batteries in each size. I looked for a small corded driver. Couldn't find one. I looked into making a transformer insert and it seemed like it wasn't going to work. Good to see. You were maybe sailing a bit close to the wind with the Diablo blades, considering they're your sponsor-- but I don't think anyone has any doubts about anything said here. I remember asking, 'What's this red blade?' "It's thinner so it cuts faster and easier." It absolutely did. Been red ever since.

Wow, Metabo has the best idea for cordless equipment! A "battery adapter" with a cord on the end to instantly convert from cordless to corded on all those tools? How innpovative!

Hey this was the first time I got to view your videos. I have been a contractor for 25 years and I had a pretty good idea of all the different jobs where these tools can be used. I was impressed with the diablo blades and how they cut the metal. You did a good job showing all the different tools and there different uses. We are landscapers and cut concrete blocks and pavers all the time. Having a battery operated saw is a great innovation. We use makita reciprocating saws to cut 4" solid drain pipe all the time. They work great.. thanks Phil, Atlanta

Not to mention a push broom would have done that quicker with less effort... I think it’s just a bad display, I can see that being useful for clearing sand off a driveway or something but for wood shavings or a shop looks useless

Had a buddy get a ball with a hardened steel nut stuck on his trailer hitch. Could not get it off and didn't have a torch. Took about 20 minutes with a sawzall but the dibalo carbide blade went right through it. Didn't lose any of the teeth. About 3" steel no problem. That was after he burned up 3 of the dewalt metal blades on it.

Yes dual power option. 🙏 Now that’s thinking ahead. Diablo is always doing their thing. Makita and Milwaukee. And D Walt However Dewalt tools have been slipping lately, there was a time they were all about the rugged contractor. I don’t know what happened to them🤔 These are the tools to have. However when it comes to Price yes Diablo is the only one thinking about the contractor. Providing quality at an affordable price that’s Diablo . And that’s why all my blades are Diablo. Now if we can just get a lot of these to manufactures to do the same thing. We could be on something . Like building a good name for rugged work conditions, and a price that keeps you in business not putting you out of business. Go... Diablo blades!!!!

2:00 can confirm. I have the Kärcher WD6 for a year now and it's suction power is just ludicrous, compared to anything else this size. Even with a seized filter, more power than your home vacuum cleaner. Contra are the prices for filters (30€/pcs) and bags (12,50€/5pcs). But get a cyclone filter and you'll reduce these costs tremendously. All in all, I can highly recommend this beast.

The Lennox diamond blade used on the DW872 is going to cause heat. Try using the DWA7747 CARBIDE toothed blade. It leaves the material barely warm. The Diablo blade looked like a carbide toothed blade.

Good video, as a contractor you can get stuck using the same stuff that just works. Not always bad, but you don’t find any new or better stuff. Great to see the latest gear that is avaliable. As a side note we switched to Diablo multitool blades about eight months ago and have reduced our consumption on site from about four blades per week to three. So far the performance is stacking up, this will add up over a year. After seeing this a 7&1/4 is on the list to try.

Did you see the vacuum pulling a head of water? Anyone who knows physics as fluid Dynamics, knows that a small vacuum line has "leverage" over the larger tube, so thereby multiplying the negative force in the larger tube. But it sure looks impressive!
