@@StaplesandVine inspired by your builds, I've been using some 3d print for a phantasy cockpit for a mahogany boat's cockpit I'm making. It's inspired on the cockpit of a spitfire, and the fact that this has nothing to do with a race boat doesn't bother me too much, it just looks so cool and brings so much building joy that it compensates enough, for my taste ;-) at the start, I used regular and fine printing settings in Prusa Slicer 3.2, which is an excellent slicer (after trying many others). Now, my print quality was boosted quite a lot by turning on the 'ironing' feature. My gosh, it almost looked like I bought a 3 times more expensive printer than I actually had. You probably know this already, but for a noob like me, I almost fell of my chair. For cockpits, this ironing is absolutely the killer feature, especially if you can orient the parts so that it gets maximum benefit from it. Just wanted to share that small insight with you and other viewers. Happy building!! Cheers

OMG! I had the same sketch book! Wish I had it now. It would make things so much easier to render in 3D

I've got the SW and ESB ones. Treasured items I bought back in the day, well read and enjoyed. Definitely a good resource for any modeler. 🙂

Strong work, bud!! Saw your videos, and had to buy the .STL!! Currently printing 1:1 R2D2, but seeing your series may lead to a sidelined job! The cockpit looks awesome!! I hope mine comes out looking half as nice! Can't wait for further updates!

Hi scaren67, thanks for the great comment. You certainly have your hands full! My files for the cockpit will be available soon but, as you can see not a conversion for the faint hearted. The cockpit will be able to rotate.

Hello. I purchased the X-Wing and Tie Fights models on Gambody but those didn't come with assembly instructions as you show in this video. they instead have a link to a KZbin video showing assembly. What is missing is an actual instruction sheet like you show here that also shows the quantity of each piece that needs to be printed. Is the Slave 1 ship unique in the instructions? I sent a message to Gambody but never got a response.

Hi Austin, I have purchased other models from Gambody and they all came with instructions. There should be a PDF on the list of files you downloaded.
