In this episode myself and Logan make some -6 AN lines for the new 4l80e in Uncle Rob using Redhorse Performance lines and fittings. We go over the complete parts list of everything you need and explain the TWO different 4l80e case styles, how to tell which one you have, and which fittings you need for the conversion!
We appreciate you guys so much. Doing something as simple as transmission lines becomes fun when doing it with people you enjoy. When we work on things we feel like you guys are there with us learning and laughing too. If you are actually reading this...you are the ones we do it for.

I hope you guys learned something from this video and enjoyed hanging out with us. If I’m being honest the lack of racing and traveling is really beating me up. We are doing the best we can to get uncle rob out there on the road so you guys can see him in your hometown. Just in here grinding. It’s not always pretty and not always exciting…for that reason I know YOU GUYS are the realest of the real and I love turning that GoPro on knowing we relate to good people. People who understand and admire the gritty process and not just the flash. We are grateful to be here for you 🤟🏻 Merch Link: Stapletonautoworks.com

I stay because the humor is dry and sarcastic and I approve so much of that. Because it's a lot like mine. Also, one other suggestion-when making a pain of lines like your trans cooler I will use a very long hose and put my 90s on both ends then route the pair how I need them and mark/cut both of them at the same time. This allows for only a single piece of excess hose and possibly being able to install the field fittings in place

Hell ya, been here since the the coach builder visit... It's when they stop commenting about our stupidity, is when you need to take notice. Adapt and overcome... Please make a hat and sticker combo...

I think the sleeve that goes on the hose is left handed threads and the fitting is right handed into the sleeve😎

Mr. Mitchell and Ms. Logan another great video. You nailed it on the comment about the being there for the knowledge and the horseplay. Feels like real life. Can't wait for Uncle Rob to rip it at The Peoples Track. Bro, starting to get some withdrawals from the racing. It takes wrenching to go racing. Love all the content. I like the videos before i even watch them

AN lines are measured in 16ths so a 4AN is 4/16 or 1/4”,, 6AN is 6/16 or 3/8”,, 8AN is 8/16 or 1/2”,, 10AN is 10/16 or 5/8” etc.etc.

Also a little useless knowledge , industrial standard drive chains like driving conveyors , fans and whatnot are measured in 1/8” so size 40 chain is 4/8 or 1/2” from chain link pin to pin center ; size 50 chain is 5/8” from pin to pin ; size 60 chain is 6/8 or 3/4” and so on.

I always put the “AN number” over 16. So 8an/16 would be equivalent to 1/2”. 10an/16 reduces to 5/8”. 12an/16 would be 3/4” and so on.

AN - is based on 1/16ths. IE -6 = 6/16 /2 = 3/8
