I like the way Drake ships look. This is a great example. Just barely functional without thought of comfort, luxury (or safety for the crew?) :) Just perfect!

Thanks for the nice video of this fantastically looking ship. Very aggressive bird of prey-ish with those high swept down wings and so much details. I agree with the better lighting in the SelfLand hangar complementing this fighter.

Well it is a Drake ship, so putting flammable containers beside your cockpit. If there is room then put there !! the pilots have a space suit so if there is a fire just open the cockpit!! lol

Those tanks? That's the Illudium Pu 36 explosive space fluid... we use it for.... not sure. Hey that's needed.

Tactical Advance no, no, no you got it all wrong! Those thanks are the ejection seat mechanism, in an emergency they blast the seat free of the hull. ;) Edit: Seriously though, I agree with you about the extra space between the control console and the canopy. However, perhaps CIG can be persuaded to put a weapons rack there, at least one of most of the current personal weapons would fit there (off hand, the only type that doesn't would be a sniper rifle)

Hey Tactical Advance, it's been toooooo long since your last ship review!!! You are my favourite KZbinr for SC ship reviews, and I really miss you talking about them! I know there aren't too many new ones out there and everything, but maybe you could do a long ass video and re-review all existing hangar and flight ready ships/vehicles and go over them in detail again. Lots of them would have had updates since whenever you made the reviews in the first place anyway, right?! Anyway, would love to see more ship reviews from you!!

Not my favourite design but I do quite like how CIG are keeping the boxy shapes of classic space sims for some of the manufacturers, especially this one I think is a pretty cool throwback.

Also given that Drake expects their ships to be flown out of whatever little semi-level spot the pilot can find, the high wing and engines at the highest point help keep FOD damage to a minimum. And the tanks in the cockpit? I'd guess either fire extinguishers or possibly oxygen tanks.

This is why even though I like ED it has nothing on SC. Even just on the level of ambition it's blown out of the water. The importance of being able to get out your ship, FEEL the scale and interact with the world around you can't be overstated in a space sim

im particular mad they nerfed both the twin link size 3 turret and the missile capacity for "muh balance" considering thats (especially the twin linked) the reason why a fair few people with joystick setups bought the ship, and that it had been said "this will be a thing" multiple times in regards to this ship on both the ship FAQs and the forums might as well melt it for a hurricane but for all i know thats going to take a sudden massive nerf too its not like gimbal players get inherant advantages or anything...

Nice over wiev of the buccaneer and just looking at manufacturar style so can you almost rename selfland to drake hanger, aerowiev to misc hanger and revel and york to origin jumpworks hanger

I've always been more of a fan of the non PVP side of games, and thats where I really am hoping to see more stuff on when they start implementing it more into the game. I likely wont ever, but if I ever do get deep into this game, I want to own a cruise line XD

I'm guessing the outer most control surface is the roll with the inner one being flaps on the main wing rather then both flaps (I can't remember how to spell the control surface name for roll) I'm also guessing it won't have much trouble in atmo since it has such strong thrusters. The wings are probably just to stabilize it and look cool.

I like the bare metal. Is it going to rust in space? It looks like Drake tried to cut costs where ever they could. After people buy it they can take their Buccaneer to the paint shop.

Its a Drake ship except for the Cutlass Blue, Drake ships have sq cockpits.

Sterlin0 the blue dots represent item ports and are actually part of the UI/mobiGlass augmented reality overlay.

you have to get an email with a ptu password. then you copy your account to the PTU and download it, give the password, then open the launcher. click the ptu tab and sign in as normal after that

I think it's a little bit overgunned at the moment - the buccaneer shouldn't be able to go 1v1 with hornet , let alone a Superhornet or a sabre. Admittedly this will probably be fixed once armour actually works but currently on paper it does need a little (only a little) smack with the need bat.

Yeah I think the armor is what will balance it. A good pilot SHOULD be able to go 1v1 with them, however, a mediocre - bad pilot shouldn't.

SpacePirate101 also it has a rather high EM and especially thermal output, that makes it harder to break locks without some extreme maneuvers.

Actually it is supposed to go 1v1 against the F7C Hornet. That's the point of this ship.
