Hello, I just wanted to let you know that they have added the ability to bind a button to hail landing zones so; you don't need to scroll through the MFDs anymore. To bind it, you need to look under the vehicle movement tab. Keep up good videos. It's refreshing to see someone fall in love with the game as I have.

Not sure if you just skipped it, or didn't know, but the front of the Hercules opens as well so you can drive vehicles in from the back and out the front or vice versa

The C2 Hercules is not only just a cargo hauler, that bay is so big that you can even fit small SHIPS inside (you can fit around 7 P-72 Archimedes snub fighters inside, and it’s been confirmed that you can fit the brand new Hull-A inside it)

Great video always like your reactions. Only thing you missed was a small detail in the habitation area at 4:09. On either side separating the beds and the desk there are toilet and shower combos hidden behind the curved doors.

The Hercules is a cool ship. The front of the hangar also has a ramp as its designed for vehicles like the Nova tank to drive on at the back and off at the front. My favourite ship is still my Carack though. That thing is amazing!

The starliner is awesome. I had a group of players and we filled the cargo up with I think 4 snub fighters, then went out on bounty missions together, using the starliner as a carrier. It was fantastic!

And good to remember, when you fly solo, you can only load up two vehicles in a ship. Try more and ships and vehicles start disappearing (some kind of server limiting reason for it). But, if you have an other person or ppl in the ship while fetching and loading vehicles into it, there in no limit

If you ever want to see the new ship in 3.17, the Hull A, you should ask someone in global chat. It's a cool small ship for carrying cargo around

13:24 Oh no. This small space just gave me a chilling thought of being a kid and playing in this small space between the engine and the fuselage when the ship suddenly takes off and you get caught going to space without any means of telling the pilot you're out there 😨

If it helps, that 'small' space is big enough for an upright adult, and it's meters off the ground in the hangar so a kid couldn't easily reach it. Also note the armed guards in hangars :)

Definitely make sure that you are completely upright when EVA-ing back into a gravity well or you will injure yourself.

I believe that ship also has a front ramp to assist rolling on and off tanks.

Many (not all) ships have transforming parts when powering on/off weapons and missile mode as well as going into vtol and landing gear.

Damn, you probably would have been excited to find out that both the front and back of the cargo hold open up. Its a "Drive Thru" hold, you could have an M50 or some kind of racer fly through it like a tunnel xD

try "URGET: Boarding action in progress" it is a FPS mission so bring some guns and armor.. You can find the mission around Arc-Corp and Microtech. this mission will let you explore a 890j for free entirely on your own! you will not be able to fly the boat but you can explore it freely.

i beg to differ on the c2 its one of my favorite ships in the game and if you get the m2 or a2 it comes with the extra gunner seat. so 3 man crew and if you put a tank inside and have your buddy in there you can wreck havoc. love the videos though and great game

I first got the C2 and became a total Crusader fanboy. I even got cool 600i and MSR leather jackets for my character, and of course Crusader t-shirts and cap to wear. :-D I fell in love with the Mercury when I first flew to Orison and visited the ship exhibition there.

Decomposition is something their still working on. Not currently implemented but in n the future moving from atmosphere to unpressurised space will be a big deal. In the C2 the cargo hold is unpressurised and there is an airlock on both the stairs and lift.

2:40 - I think to make a complete judgement on this game based on only playing it for a little while and then saying you don't know what the fuss is about is a little misleading. The reason it gets bad press is because it has been in development for 11 years and is barely in alpha. There have been countless and I mean countless promises made by CIG that have subsequently not been kept which isn't the worst thing for a studio to do. It's when that same studio literally makes a statement saying that our 'noise' is distracting them and the community. They seem to have forgotten that the reason they are able to create such an in-depth game so far is because of the very people who are now making 'noise'. This game is the highest crowdfunded game in history. They literally have a budget of $430,000,000 to get this done and the best they can do is get it into a very glitchy early alpha after 11 years of development. To give you reference - about 1000 people made GTA V in three years. 600 people have been working on this project which leads us all to believe that it must just be being managed horribly. A good example of this mismanagement is the fact that the alpha phase of game development is meant to be the complete game being tested and refined. These guys haven't even created 1/3 of what they promised for alpha and the best they can do for their quarterly update is a few new ships, an unneeded hospital, and a coffee shop... Sorry for the rant but I just wanted to get the point across that the bad press is very very much warranted for these guys.

Installing the game on a ssd is highly recommended. Also your cpu matters a lot in this game. I have a 3080 and it only uses about 50% of it while playing as opposed to games like bf5 that use 99-100%

I second that. I am running a 3080 Ti but it does not carry much load, cpu (mine's Ryzen 9 5900X) matters more, at least in this alpha stage of the game. I first installed the game on a HD and it was playable but laggy, once I re-installed onto SSD it became a real delight, so smooth

Is it possible yet to do trading in the game without having to worry about a server crash wiping out your cargo but not the credits spent on purchasing it? Because that killed the trading gameplay in the alpha for the longest time.

Last Fall they added 30K protection. If there is a 30K it will return you AND your ship with cargo intact back to the last station you visited. There are still ways to lose it, like QTing into a planet, and the 30K protection has some timing caveats, but it works pretty well. I have personally not lost a single load of cargo to a 30K since they implemented it. Knocks on wood!

No they started the tech on that with the Talon cockpit ejection pod, but it didn't really work. I think it needs engine work, like the modularity system, but the engine guys are busy AF with higher priorities.

@@gijskluwen185 totally agree with cosmic, i run mine on a gaming laptop with 32 gb, rtx3070, 11th gen intel. not max setting minus some setting it like motion blur and 2 oher option i had to shut off it runn pretty well at 1080p at 60fps except in city which kinda weirdly run around 35 - 50. and thats on a laptop that more pricey than a desktop which you can get way better for the price i paid
