Nah it's the illuminati. The dems are the kzer-za and the Republicans are the kohr-ah. Which is ultimately imperialism vs. communism. The dnyarri were employed by Britain way back right after Washington retired. Skin color is like all the species in the game. At first I thought of the kohr ah as slavery in America but it goes deeper than that. I would think of the um gah as American slavery, and Lincoln was like Captain zelnick who liberated them. The whole thing wraps around the world's economical struggles. There's only so many "minerals on planets". You're constantly struggling to make sure you have enough fuel in this game.

Well, they never actually conquered the Taalo, because the Taalo were immune to mind control. Which is why they commanded the Ur-Quan to exterminate them, instead. Ironically the Taalo's last gift to the universe was the psychic shield you're using -- it was meant for their friends, the Ur-Quan.

​@@wandererwerewolf477 I know, Star Control 2 had so many storys for the history of the alien races, there aren't many sad stories, (actually now that I think about it, every 4th race has a tragic story,) but when they write a story with an intended emotional reaction, and all of them give you said emotion when it's told to you. Like the Yehat, their history with the Shofixti, and they're unwilling betrayal of then, is one of the most powerful stories that I've heard from a video game.

Bluntly, he's your one real shot at beating the Ur-Quan. Because his race enslaved the Ur-Quan with their mental powers, he's able to basically set off a panic reaction in their forces, allowing you a tactical advantage.
