It's definitely needed . it's not if you just make beats with a pc and midi. but I experimented with a analog mixer this year. make a record. had to cut the noise with RX multiple times. And honestly wanted to stick a rod in the ground outside my window and wire it through my balcony.

You should definitely not put a computer on the same circuit as the audio equipment. Computers are horrendous sources of RFI/EMI.

Thanks for the feedback! You raise a valid concern about computers being sources of RFI/EMI, and it’s something I’ve considered in this setup. While it’s true that computers can emit noise, the solution isn’t always as straightforward as putting them on separate circuits. Doing that could introduce a ground loop, which can create low-frequency hum in sensitive audio systems. By using the same circuit, I aim to avoid ground loops. There are ways to address RFI/EMI concerns without splitting circuits, like using isolated power conditioners and balanced audio lines to keep the noise in check. It’s a balancing act, and for many, avoiding ground loops is the higher priority. Audio setups are rarely one-size-fits-all, and I believe in a nuanced approach to address both RFI/EMI and grounding issues based on the specific gear and environment.
