My gosh, I had forgotten how crazy this series is 😂 Time-travel, pararel universes, a spore drive powered by dark matter, a rogue AI, premonitory nightmares, an intelligent planetoid with a huge knowledge about the galaxy... there's no limits here lol I love it

The way you pronounced the Queens name...darn you're good lol! I remember seeing Thunderbirds for the first time and being blown away. That was it, at age 7 I was hooked on sci fi for life. Soon after I watched the very first Star Trek episode, then started to read DUNE and AE Van Vogt and Azimov and Heinlein and the like. I stopped watching in my 20s as the cheesiness of the series couldn't compete with the quality of Aliens and the like. The recent renovation of the Star Trek movie franchise struck my interest again and also a few other good series which are making an effort, like The Expanse and Altered Carbon, lost in Space. Films like Upgrade and Ex Machina and Blade Runner 2049. Sci Fi is alive and well. I am so excited to see DUNE. I should find a copy of the book and read it again, though I've read it literally dozens of times. The characters are old friends now, I'm hopeful they will do the book justice. I just finished the finale of season 2 Star Trek Discovery and I'm really impressed with the quality of the series, the sets and costumes and the main storylines. I'm a fan again though I find the writing lacks at times...

Much like pretty much every other trek series it took awhile for me a warm this series..longer than all of the other series...i started watching when it was first released but i fell off after the first 6 episodes or so and didn't start again for awhile then i finished season 1 and paused again even longer and started season 2 earlier this year and i struggled to get thru the first 6 episodes before episode 7 and especially episode 8(still my favorite of the series so far) came to the rescue and the last 6 episodes have held my interest and I'm on the finale now.. hopefully season 3 holds my attention but most of the cast i now like..they did a good job making Airiam likable before then getting rid of her and most of the rest of the background members have grown on me a bit but the series still lacks the soul of trek but hopefully that'll come in season 3 ... fortunately they made the very smart decision to send the crew to the far future as the 22nd, 23rd and 24th season has been done and when i first heard that this series would be set around TOS i thought to myself Big Mistake..luckily they haven't totally messed shit up...i understand Retcons and adding things to the Canon later on but too many things like Spock's sister who we never heard of before or the Spore Drive that could've gotten Voyager home in the blink of an eye never being mentioned and it seems no explanation is being given for why no one uses it in the future other than it's messing up the species that live in the network but hopefully they'll explain in the next season or something cuz that's something that really irks me. I'm still confused about some the time travel aspects and the Klingons being the guardians of the time crystals is pretty stupid to me..they should've made the guardians be some unknown species or at the very least make it harder to obtain one then just showing up and saying i need this to save the galaxy and I'm not leaving without it..ash even mentions that klingons would to get their hands on Time Travel ...well they have plenty of them ..they should've at least made the crystals extremely rare and hard to get but I'm yappin overall I'll borrow from the spill crew give this season a matinee (pretty much 7/10) but i hope it gets better

Great recap but if I could make a suggestion to slow it down a little? I know it's fashionable to cut every last breath out of KZbin vids these days but a clear pause for breath between each substantial point just gives the viewer a second to digest what they've been told. Without that gap you find yourself missing the start of the next point as you're clarifying the previous one for yourself.

Thank you for that very well done recap, You are a good fan of Star Trek I am glad you did not do season one It was not for me, I am looking forward to season three because we are at a new time not messing up the timeline and hopefully new races and maybe some old from the life forms that are more advanced then humans, The Melkot, Trelane's race and the Metrons.

Yeah they really dropped the ball on Season 1 Disco, but I feel they made up for it and course corrected in Season 2. Lets hope Season 3 improves moreso again.

What I didn't like about season 2 was the way Tyler was treated the crew of discovery are meant to be his friends but they all turned against because of pikes arrogance and short sightedness and that's what got ariem killed I think the writers were trying to make it so that burnham suppoted him the way he did in season 1 of course that's just 1 of many errors I noticed threw out the second season I think the purpose of this part of the story was to teach pike and the crew hard but valuable lessons don't pre judge don't assume that your truth is the only valid one

I've never really watched Discovery, but I can see that I wouldn't like it. It looks insane in a bad way. I think it has too many horror elements in it that ST just shouldn't have and feels like space high fantasy rather than pure sci-fi (time crystals?). Another thing done wrong.
