I saw Anson Mount as Chris Pike and Rebecca Romjin as Number One and had to check out Season 2. Paying homage to that era and to those characters got to me. They did a good job. The Enterprise, seeing her, that really choked me up.Just something about that ship. Good job guys. Thanks for the post.

Before I started watching this show I was like “oh this is stupid it’s just disgraceful” and then I actually watched it. And oh my god, I loved TNG it was hands down my favorite, and although it still has my favorite characters and my favorite storyline I would dare say discovery has taken my top spot, That second season really just tied it all up. The guy they got to play Pike and Spock were just absolutely the most amazing they genuinely did a great honor to their predecessors.

Can't wait for the new season. :) My dad was neighbors with William Shatner in Montreal while he was still a student. I heard funny stories as a child and my father and uncle convinced me for years that he took up all the parking space with The Enterprise. Turned out he had a very big car and wasn't very good at parking it, which occasionally caused some annoyance. hahaha

Most of the negativity about Discovery is coming from racist white males who can't imagine anyone other than a white male playing the lead character in a trek franchise! These people hide behind talking points that make zero sense!They all attack Michael Burnham's character as if she is a real person. They express frustration, and anger over her not following orders and doing things her way as if she's not an actor following a script! These are the same people that praise James Kirk's character for doing the same exact thing!! Some are also sexist. I think Janeway was a bad ass Captain but a lot of fans hated her because she's a woman! These people are hilarious and cannot be taken serious!! Burnham is black, and a woman, which means that she's hated a lot more than Janeway! At this point, hatred of non white males playing the lead in sci-fi franchises has become a clear and undisputable mental disorder!!

Took me a while but it grew on me now i’m all aboard. Disco is definitely an acquired taste. (Will never forgive the Klingon redesign and busting them down from developed 3dimensional characters to a 1 dimensional shell of their former selves.) But I realized that i am the type of Trek fan who loves everything Trek good bad or ugly. I think it is an interesting choice to free up the writers from having to fit Disco into a mold by allowing them to go into the future beyond canon timeline. The pilot has turned off the fasten seatbelt sign and Now the writers are free to roam about the cabin so to speak. Voyager did the same thing with the Delta quadrant Disco is just taking a bigger and more ambitious risk. All that being side they need to spin Pike off into his own show!

I've always seen her as blond since the 90s when she was a top model and on all of the covers of the big fashion magazines. I nearly died when I saw her in that wig on Star Trek, but was relieved when I saw her during a recent interview on TV and she was blond. She also mentioned wearing the wig because she didn't want to colour her hair like that.
