Star Trek: Lower Decks Ends with Season 5

Paramount just announced the cancellation of Star Trek: Lower Decks. Season 5 will be its last. Definitely disappointing.

For me, Lower Decks was the closest thing to Star Trek feeling like Star Trek since Voyager. Cancelled now? Maybe it's time I cancel P+ too

I think that the business part of Paramount need to explain the reason and rationale for this surprise cancellation. They need to tell us what the plan is. I have no access to any numbers of any type, but just based on the overall love for the show I presumed that it was performing well.

I watched lower decks and loved it and glad to see a 5th season. This show got me into star trek but now it's ending 😢. Really we can't complain to paramount or other studios about it. The only way for shows to continue is watching the show, especially the show creator asked to watch the show then complain. Sad to see it happen

I really can't believe😞 that Star Trek Lower Deck Series is coming to the end this year in September but if it's true then there are a lot of wish lists that I would like to see in upcoming Star Trek Lower Deck Season 5 finale: 1. In the final episode of Star Trek Lower Deck Season 4 Tendi leave the Cerrito to return to her home planet Orion but watching at the end of the episode feels more like a cliffhanger because Tendi looks like she's turning evil after seeing her eyes. I have my fingers crossed that it's not true and hoped that Tendi will return to her friends just like Boimler did in Season two. 2. I'm hoping Mariner and Jennifer episode because in the near end of Season 3 Jennifer broke up her realtionship/friendship with Mariner of the misunderstand incident were Mariner had an unauthorized interview with Victoria Nuzé. At the end of episode 10 Jennifer didn't come to Mariner and apologizes possible that she must very a shame of herself while feeling guilty for wrongly accuse Mariner for something that she didn't do for once. When Season 4 was released last year I was expecting an episode were Jennifer join the mission with Mariner like episode 8 so that those two could make amending and be just friends but this never happen. 3. I'm hoping during Season 5 tha Rutherford and Tendi will finally confess their feelings 💖 for each other at last and become couples maybe happen in the final episode. 4. In Season 3 episode 8 Boimler thought that his perfect clone William died in his sleep in the Titan ship by the gas leak but at the end of that episode it was reveal that William is alive and was a complete set up just to join with Section 31. I would like to see how Boimler react that William is alive and became evil. 5. With Season 5 becoming the final chapters of Star Trek Lower Deck Series that I would like to see a time skipped in the future were the characters became a successful Starfleet officers like Biomler finally become a Captain of his own ship, Rutherford and Tendi married, Ty'lan's continued to be part of Starfleet and Mariner becomes a second in command.

STD was shit that’s why it got cancelled first two seasons of Star Trek Picard was shit and a complete mess. That’s why they got cancelled. Strange new worlds was well written and an all around good show. Same with lower decks. But I don’t know why lower decks is getting cancelled.

Most people just aren’t fans of Star Trek anymore. Too much inconsistent quality over the decades. I never got into lower decks as the animation quality looked very low and the humour didn’t come across to me in any trailers etc.

Paramount cancelled Star Trek Discovery now they have cancelled Lower Decks there is only one thing these two shows have in common and certain evil people hate it. Both shows are incredibly great, both shows have a black female captain. Shame on you paramount for listening to racist. Next all of the show with women outside of the kitchen?

Deep Space Nine has a Black captain back in the 90's. But DSN's captain didn't start a war with the Klingons through his ineptitude. And I never liked the Spore Drive. I thought it was too over the top .

I'm gkad this is finally cancelled. And not because im one of the "i hate everyrhing"s. Why? Trek has always been a out people in extraordinary circumstances and solving problems. These characters could never graduate from Star Fleet Academy, much less perform as a unit on a ship. They are whiny, self absorbed brats and no very smart. Face ir, the creators wanted to stroke their egos by "solving' all the mysteries of the existibg series. If you want good extrapolations on existing Star Trek, read the books -- there's hundreds of them. Many bad but many more that are brilliant.

Discovery and Lower Decks both just couldn't stop shitting on the Trek that has gone before. Lower Decks in particular tries to be both parody and canon, and it's just painful. Yes, everyone should be able to take a joke, but don't ask that and also say that the show is canon at the same time.
